what is GPS with A-GPS ??

it's software programmable?

I'd usually ask you to go Google it, or Wiki it, but since we're one big family of PDA fans, nevermind yo~!

GPS by standard is just a Global Positioning System by itself, where the unit sends and receives signals from the satellite to detect positions, and do the routing calculations.

A-GPS however, does the same, but the A (stands for Assisted by the way) makes the special difference by allowing the GPS to utilize your phone's signals and communication to radio stations to help determine your location. That way, navigating and positioning is faster. Think of the Assisted feature as an aid from GSM/WCDMA.

Just bought the phone. still need some time to get use to it, since it's the first time using PPC. Like it so far.

Now I am facing major issue is to transfer sim card contacts to phone...

Don't worry, there's loadsa ways you can do that... Check out the first page of either the Touch Pro or Touch Diamond official thread here in LYN, and then just look for the contacts transfer .cab file there..

Anyone able to download HTC Touch 3G Sprite Backup from HTC official website?

I type in the serial number and it says my phone is not supported.

why bother download from htc? please check you box application cd provided, its an Authorize version from HTC.

Sprite Backup can't work with CE-Star installed. Have to uninstall CE-Star first then do the backup. anyone facing this issue?

I've try not to use CE-Star to display Chinese characters but the touchflo music player won't display chinese character with the sunglobe or fontpatch, other software like rasco explorer can display chinese characters with sunglobe or fontpatch.. strange.. any idea? I prefer my system without CE-Star

For the weather thingy, i think is not capture data from WIFI, is from your GPRS / EGGE.
i tried to update, it works (but... dun think its useful.. )

I had a question to ask, regarding the LED indicator light on top on the phone. I understand that if got un-read sms/miss call the green LED will blink.

But how about BlueTooth? WIFI? will it blink in others color such as blue? or no such thing?

Because i turn on my bluetooth tarak any indicator light for it... jst curious

the weather problem i facing...i hard reset and eveything goes back normal. the weather data can download from WIFI.

Had to do hard reset ka... hmm, had to restore back up file again then.

Btw, i really tot the LED light got more option instead of only GREEN only

(anyway, any tips for the device you had found?)
