i dont think they are aware of the popularity of TF2 since TF2 is well known online than LAN.

that's why msia's gaming scene has a very slow progression and very limited variety of games. msian tend to play games than are available on LAN.

we will do survey and check out TF2.

this is what we called electronic sports. you play head to head with you opponents, recognize them, and fear them so that your face comes out in their nightmare. u can play online, but they do dont know you. next morning you wake up, u realize u play for fun. here in pro-gamersarena we want to bring gamers to another level. professionals. complete hall of fame, statistic for each team and individual. footballers are famous because they kick around ball, why cant gamers be known by wiggling a mouse? electronic sports will be the 21st century entertaiment, alongside football. the community we serve is the turning point of a new revolution in e-sports...

malaysian "kingsurf" won silver in recent tournament (ESWC), we are not slow...

I can vouch for TF2 for being a large community. However, like most online based games, they lack presence. TF2 is big in singapore and the only flaw is that it uses steam, which is incredibly annoying to set up on LAN.

i guess many is unaware the competitiveness of TF2.

TF2 has is hugely popular in USA and Europe.

I'll just name a few tournaments incase your unaware of:

TF2 Sennheiser Open
NVISION 2008 GeForce TF2 LAN
ESL Major Series

And currently CGS Pro-Am Division

That's very few that i've listed.

LOL @ DOTA

That's the problem, the whole LAN community only plays DOTA. Sad...

Well.. someone from TF2 should play a part to promote this game.. organize a lot of TF2 tourney. Even though the prize is small but at least there should be a continuous tourney. As for COD4 community in Malaysia, we have a few guy whom are very commited to bring cod4 popularity into the next level.. instead of waiting for someone else/company to organize.. why dun u start? It wont be easy but hey.. it's for your favourite game right?

Beast has a point. i see a lot of clans forming but there are too few tourneys around. but it might be attributed to the difficulty in setting Steam on a LAN.

When faced between a chicken and an egg, you should make the call, not others.

pro-gamersarena is your local arena. stadium of electronic sports. we do events every month. league, tournament, cup. thats the reason why pro-gamersrena established. to rally gamers. to send a message that e-sports meaning business. but beware, this is no place for play-play. we choose the team to compete. 27 teams now ready for registration.

and please you must be 18 years old above. i had to many phone calls recently from underage. below 18 you need to get parent's approval letter to enter.

pro-gamersarena team will do the very best on SF2.

Note that DotA doesn't even require an ori copy to play as the internet is flooding with so called "special" game servers that provide cracked patches or what not....so DotA is more popular because most (Not all) DotA players might not even have the original copies of the game to begin with shakehead.gif

Simple....just organise a TF2 BYOC LAN party and host it in a public area...not the most elegant of solutions but a solution nonetheless whistling.gif

It depends on how far you're willing to go to promote the game. If you really like it, and want to promote it, get a group of people and start planning competitions and stuff.
