The 2G sim will occasionally pick up the 3G signal, but it can't be used to access the 3G network. A 3G sim is necessary to access the UMTS network. The sim replacement (first time only) charges are usually absorbed by the provider.

U guys sure or not? I am using Maxis 64k sim (2G sim) & I can easily make video call, access 3G network & even surf at 3.5G wor
