Hi guys, I hope this thread is still alive
I recently went with my sister to donate many of our used items such as textbooks, notebooks, clothes, toys. I donated to:
1) CPS (Children Protection Society) - at Scotland Road
2) Asrama Ramakhrishna - at Scotland Road
3) St. Joseph Home - Penang Road

I was a bit upset when I heard that many of the toys and unwanted items will be sold instead of letting the kids play with the toys Not too mention, some of my novels and books will be sold too, instead of being read. Its a bit upsetting but I got over it since after all, I don't really need them. The three homes that I went to are supplied with enough items, they don't really need much of my help actually. I was actually disappointed to give away my items to the Ramakhrishna. There wasn't any thank you coming from them and instead I only got a receipt...I would not donate anymore items especially after the gratitude that they have given to me.

If you guys are interested, I suggests that you go and donate your items to the poorer homes, and I am not talking about St.Nicholas (believe me, they got enough help already.)

what they need :
tutor : from 7.30pm - 9.30 pm (class standard 3 to form 5)
entertainer : can sing, story telling, magician n ...... (friday night, 7 to 9.30).

Urgent need :
A group of youngster able to paint, clean, gotong royong on their new shelter (coming soon).
Activity organizer.

Hi fellow /k-tians,

Although u guys are always naughty and bully people but I know inside u all haf good heart. Mt miriam will be holding an event to raise funds for cancer patient this Sunday 15th April 2012 in Mt Miriam Cancer Hospital Penang.

I will be seting up a stall there. All profit goes to charity and even my modal to cook the stuff and sell is provide by me.
