hah are u sure its HT like Pentium D...i dont think so....cuzz e5200 is base on Wolfdale chip....so its must be true DualCore...not Hyper Threading...the name Pentium Dual-Core is just a gimmick...its a downgrade C2D with less cache...
for me, if you get the batch right...this is the best value chip u can get...hunt for the 5caps batch and u can squezze 4Ghz out of it....4ghz for rm2XX....the best budget proc ever.... mine was 2capper but still manage to go 3.725Ghz on 1.3v...impressive right...superpi 1m can touch 14sec mark edy..,,the only drawback of this 5 series was, it got FSB wall....so FSB is limited between 330-350.....but they give it high value of multiplier 12x...so mathematically u still can achieve 4Ghz mark... iam retiring e5200 soon...ordered my e85 edy...hehe.... bb all... HT or Hyperthreading is a virtual core technology....nobody says its a was bad thing...with the old pentium4 they use this technology to mimic multi-core, 1 core, 2 thread.....nowdays all the modern Intel proc use the true Multi-core edy,so every thread got thier own core...this technology still been use today in the intel i7 to make virtual 8thread in 4core, not quite sure dow...correct me if i were wrong...
