No..If not mistaken the dev team do release a custom 2.2 firmware upgrade that exclude out the 2.2 baseband update. Means,u still can JB 2.2 witout update d baseband n still enjoying the 2.2 features. You will be happy to unlock 2.2 during eve 2008
QUOTE(beavis68 @ Dec 16 2008, 11:13 PM) do not rejoice so fast......... This post has been edited by sugen: Dec 17 2008, 10:32 AMit for those firmware 2.1 and below......... meaning older version baseband only can be unlock... |

Yap. Got it.. I have a question. once Dev team release the JB for 2.2.1.. By doing so, will i LOST all my 3rd party app & setting? Or it will keep all after the 2.2.1 JB upgrade? Thanks.. QUOTE(davidgary73 @ Jan 28 2009, 11:23 AM) |

You will need the firmware 2.2.1.ipsw file when u run Quickpawn. The way i did was
1. Download the firmware manually (visit first page for the link) 2. Open itunes, & when itune detected your iphone. Hold down SHIFT key & hit restore. Then, locate the 2.2.1.ipsw & itune will proceed with the 2.2.1 Restore. 3. When finish, Run Quickpawn & follow the steps.. QUOTE(Kernkraft400 @ Feb 2 2009, 09:29 PM) |

Ok.. Just to share Aptbackup.. I had JB 2.2.1... Aptbackup works by restoring about 80% of my 3rd party apps.. The restore process took about 30 minutes..How it work is
1.) Press backup on aptbackup 2.) Backup your data by syncing it through itune 3.) After JB, restore all data via itune 4.) Install aptbackup, press Restore Done.. 80% of my app is restored.. |
