Guys, i know you all alrdy pro with iphone n all..im still a noob haha, what i dont understand is what can you do if you JB ure iphone 3g? if you don't JB? does that mean if the iphone is officially unlocked still have to JB?

right on! so do you iphone users recommend a new user like myself and others to JB our iphones? or should we jst wait and settle down with it first...and if i do decide to attempt it, is it difficult? can it screw up ure phone if it is not done correctly?

thanx for the heads up. i guess with every gadget there are drawbacks. However, Apple products are one of kind! using a mac now and totally changed my preception towards Apple after using windows for more than 10+ yrs! go Steve Jobs!

Hi to all sifoos...

I am in a state of confusion with upgrading firmware with a JB Iphone 3G...i currently owned a JB Iphone 3G and since there's a firmware update from apple to 2.2.1..i know i need to back up the 3rd party apps..so i can restore it after..but my confusion lies in how should i do it? can i just use quickpawn the latest version released? and are there steps in between that i should be aware of? all this jailbreaks process seems complicated and i don't want to mess it up! im not in msia at the moment...so i cnt jst end up at an apple shop explaining all this. lol. so please ?
