hi, i need some help with my iphone.

i bought my iphone about a year ago in kl. it was hacked and all so i can use it. before installing my sim card, the shopkeeper pasted this yellow/orange plastic thingy that looks like a chip, he said this would help my iphone recognize the sim card. after reading through some posts in forums, i guess that the thingy is turbosim, but i'm not too sure.

anyhoo, my iphone was on version 1.0.2 and i never dared to update coz i wasnt sure how to. so today i tried quickpwn 2.2 and updated the iphone successfully with the help from the guide at iClarified. but unfortunately, the iphone does not detect my maxis line. all it shows is no service, and when i remove the sim card it says "No Sim".

is this happening because of the extra thingy on my sim card? is my problem solvable?

now how am i supposed to get a new turbosim and how much will that be?
don't i have any other options?

imei number got, should i reveal it?

tried rejailbreaking with the simcard in the iphone without the extra thingy, and the result was the same. i guess i'll have to get Hanxz's help.
