Talo, if you can, use winpwn 2.5 and repwn the phone.

Here's the link.

Follow the iClarified guide and hope this will bring back your phone to a working condition.

Use fw 2.0.1 instead. Fw 2.0.2 is kinda buggy for some 1st gen iphones but works well with 3G iPhone.

i have yet to tried out iRealSMS but there is a something which i always practice whenever it comes to third party apps (whether it is from cydia or installer, especially when it is straight fresh out the oven), is try googling for feedbacks first.

if there are complains about it, it is best to lay the app off for the time being until a new update comes around.

eh no problem at all. just that third party apps from cydia or installer (even though they might be free) are not approved by apple itself and future complications may arise. of course applying the same economics principle here; there is no such thing as a free lunch.

apple endorsed apps over the apps store may cost you some money, but at least you know that your iphone is in good hands.

I've installed iRealSMS and encountered the 'seem like hang' thing. I just leave it be and then it spring back to the locked screen. I still think this app does not worth the money .... yet.

Bad news for me!!!
It took me nearly 2 hours to restore my backup.
Would it be a bit too LONG?
And just now after pwned, everything is ok.
But now it hanged again after i restore...
Oh No....

Or should i start from a new phone?
Instead of restore from backup?

we have always promoted, setting up as a new phone (if your unit was JB previously) to eliminate the possibility of plists being migrated over.
