I don't see any buying pressure for GU anytime soon. Too much downside risk to actually try to catch the bottom. Indeed, GU has dropped over 500 pips, but i am afraid if you see the daily chart, the 3 sma has cut 10 sma. Usually when it cuts, we see another 200-300 pips down.
SO 1.44 is the key bottom; if that breaks, all hell will break loose. |

QUOTE(bulkbiz @ Dec 1 2008, 10:29 AM) Only applies for the recent GU price action. GU will probably melt this week. Who knows? Great Britain is now in danger of collapsing.Added on December 2, 2008, 1:56 amIf you notice, the GU price action, the rebound is getting weaker and weaker. IT's only a matter of time 1.48 gives. Never easy, its the experience that one must have first to win money; knowledge itself is 1% of successful trading.

QUOTE(orangysb @ Dec 7 2008, 11:28 PM) Share your expertise please, how does Dow tell you AU would be going up? Simply because it rose on Friday? I just use plain behavior science. I can predict the candle even before its formed; i can spot divergence before it happens. It's all human psychology. Like i said, once you seen enough charts, and trade DJIA well enough, you can roughly forecast and predict FX movements. After all, candles and charts are reflections of trader's psychology and emotion. Jeff,
Base on my analysis, Dow Jones should retrace from its current bull run to 8200-8000. I believe the market has seen and heard enough good news that the underlying fundamentals will MATTER at the end of the day. If the US dollar starts to weaken or shows any bearish reversal, that means the DOW has hit the bottom. Highly unlikely as 4th quarter earnings are just few weeks away. I am pretty sure traders are heavily shorting at any sort of rally these days. |

QUOTE(small-jeff @ Dec 10 2008, 04:18 AM) yeah...i believe we've yet to see the bottom of DOW yet. Another reason to drive money back to Treasuries today: Fannie Mae... They should just stick to mortgage and insurance... Yup, today's Dow price action reflects weakness in strength. Daily stochs showing overbought. A retracement or the continuation of a DT is pending. |

QUOTE(orangysb @ Dec 12 2008, 11:12 PM) But why? The auto bailout got rejected at the US Senate, shouldn't we brace ourselves for some major bearish trend. Hey, everyone expected all major pairs to drop yesterday and usd dollar strengthening due to DOW collapsing. What happened then? Dow didnt collapse. It seems like every time we see a little weakness, DOW has rallied back to close positive after a string of bad news. AS of why? Just see the chart and you will see why. |

QUOTE(small-jeff @ Dec 12 2008, 11:44 PM) hm...DOW didnt collapse cause soon after the opening bell, it was announced that they will get the money from Treasuries... The Euro weekly chart gives out the biggest clue that the us equity and euro itself might be heading higher towards next month.IMO, another thing to hold USD where it was is that German bund and GILT are rising slightly greater than the Treasuries...where money has left the equity. Euro and Pound may just turn out to be what happened to USD. This week may mark the start of the bullish reversal...both the USD and it Treasuries have shown weaknesses.. |
