for me my answer was direct because as a student my capital is limited. Y not ask urself how much are u planning to start ur account with? if ur starting small.. oanda doesn't have a fixed amount of units u can buy.. so u can buy even 500 units.. i started oanda because i started my account with RM2000. If it was a micro account.. it will be wiped out easily ><

Added on October 31, 2008, 2:22 pmjust got into the trade.. spotted a descending triangle on EU..

Edit : posted up charts.. lets c how it goes..

Added on October 31, 2008, 2:28 pmactually those ppl's analysis from babypips is kinda accurate also.. i've been keeping a watch as their analysis helps a lot..

Added on October 31, 2008, 2:31 pmSL set to +10... wanna lock in at least a bit of profit... gonna let it run.. happy pippiing guys

Added on October 31, 2008, 2:32 pm........ instead of seeing a descending triangle.. i'm also seeing a double bottom now T_T lets wait for the candle to close before comfirming

Added on October 31, 2008, 2:46 pmdescending triangle it is biggrin.gif

Thanks. Well, maybe to try to test water first better to start with oanda.
Since their EU is best spreads ever. Can try to test test on EU first.

if everything ok, should be can trade live in mid/late of Nov biggrin.gif
Try small account first. cool2.gif

1)Lower spreads for EU
2)Reliability
3)No requotes
4)web based. can trade mobile.
5)Regulated under NFA, CFTC.

Okaylar...Oanda, im coming for you ... cool2.gif

(Note: thanks for clearing my doubts. Been thinking stress on it)

haha welcome to oanda.. but dude.. be aware though... because of the heighten volatility.. seldom u can get lower EU spreads compared to those of mt4.. thats wat i noticed since the global financial crisis thing arised.. but i'm at least more calm knowing that my money is quite safe with oanda because of their capital.

Added on October 31, 2008, 8:25 pmman if there's one thing i notice thats hard to control in forex is emotions and also greedyness.. i'm finally very very close to my previous high profit in my account.. and its been a tough month.. need to learn to be less emotional during trades n just live with what i get and dont envy how others get more pips then me in the same trade..

SR level. GREEN LINE.

EVen the BLUE line TL is broken. But I will wait for a broken of the SR level to short. Or unable to break, then I long.

Erm..Whats mean of SR?
Anyway, next week has many AUD data(retail sales, unemployment rate) coming out. Preparing to short AUD as many forecast that there are contradiction on the datas.
Here is my chart. Preparing to short once bottom line of descending triangle has been broken. Short entry may enter when touching upper line

Heard plenty of good review for oanda of its reliability and security. Better than other brokers where there are some traders claimed that they can't withdraw their profits, need longer time to for withdrawal process and etc..

Well, true. The most important part is how much we gain/loss from forex. Can't really compared to others.
Just be grateful for any profits that we gained. biggrin.gif
This way will eliminate unneccessary emotions while trading. cool2.gif

there are tons of reliable brokers on the net, just like you.

is it me, or do i just found it annoying when someone says "play" forex, rather than "trade" forex.

U being a new member of this forum trying to advertise your things already raise suspicions. Secondly when u say the word "play forex" nobody is going to even bother contacting you.

Look, "play" and speculate is entirely different. No one here play forex using fake money. To come here and advertise your firm is a mistake especially when you do not contribute anything. We forumers appreciate insights, strategies from one another. We don't appreciate someone BARGING in and advertise his firm. And the word play just insults our intelligence.

There are thousands(if not hundreds) of forex company around the world. But only few are trustable and reliable such as Oanda, interbank, FXCM, and etc.
So why should forex traders register with your company? am i right or right?

Before you post another advertisement post, i suggest its better for you to look into LYN rules & regulations first.
Btw, "play" & "trade" serve 2 big difference meanings. Maybe you looking for different target customers. You should look for rich ppl in different place out of here. Usually they "play" forex frequently. cool2.gif

The best time was to purchase Aussie dollar when it was close to 2. Although i predicted 2, i was close. IT was selling at 2.17 @ Standard Chartered. However right now, i think many pundits here will agree with me, you are most likely going to see higher 2s in the future.

I would say hold up a bit on investing in AUD and here's the reason why. November 4th is the election date for US. Once the election is over, speculation is that the currency would appreciate hence gold will drop. When gold value drops, AUD also drops. Correct me if my conclusion is wrong smile.gif

U may choose to invest now also actually as we are going to see higher AUD later on but to maximize ur profits one should buy at lows and sell at highs..

Thanks Kelvin, i need to work, coz too bored at home. And i get to see pretty tellers since my branch is surrounded by banks! LOL...

I'm actually going to buy more AUD/YEN because i believe Pickens said is accurate. Oil is going back up.

My reason being:

a) All G7 countries have cut interest rate, including India, and China.

b) I know short term we might see a downward movement for aud/yen pair but i believe with China's big infrastructure project, it will be wise to buy some. Maybe we will see 80 in the medium run? (between 6 months - 1 yr)

Added on November 2, 2008, 2:19 pm@ Kelvin,

I see you shorted EU, i did the same, abit lower at 1.2733. Was biting my nails when it went up to 1.2770, but i believe my fundamental forecast for US will be 70/30 accurate.

I also notice EU is having a tough time to break the 1 hr 200 simple moving average. All i know is we will see a big big price action next week.
