QUOTE(cyew86 @ Oct 16 2008, 09:55 PM) the only performance drop that i noticed is longer boot time into windows from what i read people comment on 8.10....catalyst 8.10 seems to be "heavier" than 8.9i'd prefer that over BSOD anytime though and , future 8.11 will be "lighter" again This post has been edited by pikacu: Oct 16 2008, 10:15 PM |

QUOTE(splinter @ Oct 18 2008, 02:51 AM) Try joh. Non working. I guess i not the only 1 tried this?http://forums.amd.com/game/messageview.cfm...1&enterthread=y Now i'm using RGB cable to my Monitor.. Can use joh. Problem is change back to DVI.. cannot again. I wonder u guys try your card ATI4800 series or 4870 or x2 version connect with DVI to DVI before? Got such problem? I hope it not a hardware problem.. Damn expensive.. QUOTE Ok, finally i got it running What i did: 1. Used the DVI to RGB Adapater and connected my display via RGB cable with my Radeon. 2. Started Vista with installed driver and no singal loss 3. Opened CCC to check "Reduce DVI frequency on high resolution displays" 4. Didnt found the option, so i unplugged RGB and plugged in DVI cable while Vista was running and i got a signal to the display via DVI. 5. NOW there is an option "Reduce DVI frequency on high resolution displays" in CCC i check it rebootet and still i get a signal via DVI but another problem accured, if i changed resolution i couldnt change it back (e.g. startet Warcraft 3 in 800x600 display res changed but as i stoped the game windows res was still 800x600 and i couldnt change it back to 1650x1050) so i went into CCC and unchecked "Reduce DVI frequency on high resolution displays" again. Rebootet and still was getting signal + res change works now. (So i cannot confirm if its its really necessary to check "Reduce DVI frequency on high resolution displays" or if the RGB/DVI cable switch while Vista was running did fix it on its own.) |

i think that is normal temp for 4870x2
If u got Vista SP1, you already have DX10.1, but none of games today support DX10.1 due to TWIMTBP politics. Just hope that upcoming FarCry2 really support DX10.1 |
