QUOTE(cyew86 @ Oct 7 2008, 06:07 PM) those companies are selfish, when nVidia was dominating the market, they leech like nobody's business. now nVidia having trouble, they wanna hop over to ATI's ship They got no choice since they have so many employees to feed. And Nvidia seems to have a reputation for treat they partners badly (Read from wikipedia). |

Actually 4670 should be quite powerful if not playing FPS.

QUOTE(celciuz @ Oct 8 2008, 10:06 PM) Now I realise the difference lol, didn't felt it when changing to the new comp. Slow -> fast never feel anything, fast -> slow omg big difference. Totally agreed, I plugged back my old PC the whole experience is kinda sucks. I have to wait MS word/excel to load. Firefox also load so slow. Now use new PC feel so smooth. |

I'm still using 17" monitor which is good since I no need to buy higher end GPU to play games at high res. A 512MB 4850 is good enough

QUOTE(Zan @ Oct 17 2008, 08:48 PM) Hey dudes and dudettes. Try to install the latest CCC 8.10 and use the manual fan speed to adjust it to 50%. That will cool down your card a lot. This is my first time here and i gotta congratulate you on this nice comunity from what i`ve seen so far. I have a couple of questions and maybe you guys can help me out: I recently purchased a Gainward HD 4850 (non-GS version with the black plastic) and i`m a bit confused as to how you should OC that thing cos i tried that using the CCC Overdrive option with Auto tune, and after it tested the frequencies and passed them, the next thing was to freeze my PC and show green vertical stripes on the screen. Is it because of the PSU? I have a Gigabyte Superb 460W. Or something else? I also mention that the black screen problem also arrised but only at the begining and only in Crysis. After searching for a few answers with Saint Google, i changed the PCIe frequency in the mobo BIOS and the problem was solved. I played Warhead for a whole day without anything crashing down all around me. Another thing is, also in gpu-z the fan speed always shows 6% with 1 RPM, nomatter what the load. That can`t be right, so i was wondering if there is something to be done. Allrighty then. That about covers it. Thanks in advance and keep up the good work. Cheers As for the green stripe, it might be artifacts. Try go to http://www.playtool.com/pages/artifacts/artifacts.html in order to see if there are any matching artifacts that same as yours. Note: The auto-tune will OC your card to the best performance but I'm not sure how reliable it is, though. |

QUOTE(viperiii @ Oct 20 2008, 07:36 PM) ..waiting for the reviews of AMD 4830 in the coming few days.. I'm using a PSU 450watt only but able to run a 4850GS without a single problem. I have 3 120mm casing fans and 3 HDDs some more. Why not considering a 4850GS?I think 4830 is the best buy without changing your current 500Watts or 480 watts power supply unit. While waiting for the DIRECT X 11.0 card coming after march next year.. |

QUOTE(FoxSeaTiger @ Oct 21 2008, 10:58 AM) I using gigabyte 4850HD damn heat. Using PSU 500watt mean i wasted alot of money in ele bill lol. I recommend you C2D for best performance. And for you PSU is it cap ayam brand or high quality one?As u can see i using pentium D. I going to change with AMD to get the full perfomace of my GC i hope so... I want change it to AMD athlon 64 x2 6000 Anyone can recomanded me with good MOBO? Can my PSU 500watt support my new sistem? or I need to change to higher PSU. And now my PSU sometimes make some weird noise like zztzzt hate that sound... |
