I found this spec given in pc.game.com.my http://www.pcgame.com.my/product_info.php?...4d98e364448b7f6Minimum System Requirements OS: Windows 98/ME/2000/XP Processor: Pentium 3 @ 800 MHz Memory: 256 MB Hard Drive: 4 GB Free Video Memory: 32 MB Sound Card: Direct X 9.0 Compatible Direct X: 9.0 Keyboard & Mouse CD/DVD Rom Drive Active Internet Connection @ 56KBPs i'm willing to be this is just a "copy and paste" coz i did read a beta forum state that even with 1G ram is not enough... 1GB Ram just isnt enough to run Dalaran during peak time hours. http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.h...282705&sid=2000go figure

By turning off all detail, I was able to get a celeron with 1gb ram and integrated gfx (some GMA crap) to run WoW pretty ok (like 20-30fps). But you can't raid or go into peak-hour Shatt. Whoever the Blizzard engine programmers are, they are freaking rocket scientists.
The actual "babybutt smooth gameplay" recommendation would be closer to a Core2 2ghz and geForce 8s/radeon 3s. Golden oldies like the SLIed 6600GT still works ok.

for the record, I have 4GB of Kingstom DDR2 RAM and I get 29 fps at the lowest point in exodar (which is the most RAM eating place I've been in). Average about 40-50 in most places. With busy orgrimmar I get 20 plus too, it doesnt slow down we just see shadows while the game takes its time to load each phat looted char.
AMD 3500, at 1680X1050 with 7800GT and all settings maxed out. I doubt Wrath will kill my system even though it is old.
