Just realized, any word on the hardware requirements for WoTLK when it hits?
TBC was bad at times during raids. Ouchie.

oi.. enough!
stick to topic. if you think someone posts nonsense, you can choose to - start flaming and get caught up in your very own 'World of Warcraft' here OR - ignore the fella and don't bother giving them the attention that they may want This post has been edited by azxel: Sep 10 2008, 04:21 PM |

i play a rogue ,they are a gazillion times more complicated to use then a warrior thus im not king83.
they said they were somehow going to improve the graphic, so for those of you who have just upgraded above the minimum requirements that i posted would get a slight graphical improvement than what your experiencing now, blizzard games was never in demnd for the hardware requirements, look at all their past games. |

When I said that you were the Kings83, I meant the Defensive Stance that both of you takes but oh well. I know your intentions are good but with the way WoW players are like, it's usually best not to be so defensive. Also takes a lot of reading up on the game and check. they said they were somehow going to improve the graphic, so for those of you who have just upgraded above the minimum requirements that i posted would get a slight graphical improvement than what your experiencing now, blizzard games was never in demnd for the hardware requirements, look at all their past games. The graphic issues or rather, low FPS, starts when people have mid-range to high-end graphic cards and still got low FPS on Shatt or while raiding especially in Tempest Keep and Hyjal. When ch@ich@ai suggested that you do a bit of reading, he was on the mark. Mind you, probably new players don't see this problem or ppl who don't raid beyond Mags. So, anyone else in beta? How is it? |

I'm curious.. are the lagging or low FPS issues due to your PC, the internet or the servers? Has anyone whose gone for Raids checked their CPU and GPU usage? I suspect that it's either a internet (you know who!) or the servers themselves that's causing this. Just throwing some thought around because I've played a quite a few MMOs and though my PC is above requirements, I still encounter these problems.

I think the requirements for normal PvE questing wont be changed much
All that matters i think will be for boss encounters such as even in TBC, certain players are having FPS lag during Felmyst fight. So, if they making some nasty bosses like Felmyst then i think it will affect |

I found this spec given in pc.game.com.my
http://www.pcgame.com.my/product_info.php?...4d98e364448b7f6 Minimum System Requirements OS: Windows 98/ME/2000/XP Processor: Pentium 3 @ 800 MHz Memory: 256 MB Hard Drive: 4 GB Free Video Memory: 32 MB Sound Card: Direct X 9.0 Compatible Direct X: 9.0 Keyboard & Mouse CD/DVD Rom Drive Active Internet Connection @ 56KBPs i'm willing to be this is just a "copy and paste" coz i did read a beta forum state that even with 1G ram is not enough... 1GB Ram just isnt enough to run Dalaran during peak time hours. http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.h...282705&sid=2000 go figure |

By turning off all detail, I was able to get a celeron with 1gb ram and integrated gfx (some GMA crap) to run WoW pretty ok (like 20-30fps). But you can't raid or go into peak-hour Shatt. Whoever the Blizzard engine programmers are, they are freaking rocket scientists.
The actual "babybutt smooth gameplay" recommendation would be closer to a Core2 2ghz and geForce 8s/radeon 3s. Golden oldies like the SLIed 6600GT still works ok. |

for the record, I have 4GB of Kingstom DDR2 RAM and I get 29 fps at the lowest point in exodar (which is the most RAM eating place I've been in). Average about 40-50 in most places. With busy orgrimmar I get 20 plus too, it doesnt slow down we just see shadows while the game takes its time to load each phat looted char.
AMD 3500, at 1680X1050 with 7800GT and all settings maxed out. I doubt Wrath will kill my system even though it is old. |
