3-5 seconds seems a little long. Is it because of the ringtone length?

When u hang up, the ringing on the other phone doesnt stop immediately on any phone. Theres a slight network delay for maybe 2-3 secs before it stops ringing. Not necessarily a bug i think.

Try calling another phone with an mp3 ringtone.

5 secs is quite long tho.

May i join this wonderful group. I manage to purchased the Touch Pro yesterday after been convinced by this forum. Great guys keep up the good work.

I really want to try it too, but too inexperienced to do it (first WM device) and also i am a little lost on how to dump/copy our stock rom, for warranty purposes, of course. Keep us up to date! Also, does typing on the keyboard still have the lag? i.e. currently, if i type fast on the keyboard, the onscreen words take some time to catch up to my key presses.

Thanks to your heroic example, i decided to flash my ROM too, and after a heart-stopping moment where i thought i bricked my TP, i have managed to flash it to ROmeOs, back to stock (finally figured out how to dump the stock ROM), and now back to ROmeOS again    (Haven't tried reverting back to stock SPL yet though, but i think it should be do-able) Its really a good learning experience for me, and honestly, you just have to read thoroughly. It was also relatively straightforward as it involved only the SPL and ROM, not the radio ROM. So far, its pretty good, but i will use it for a couple of days more and see. One thing though..the in-call volume is loud now! I have to tone it down a bit so that my TP doesn't become a loudspeaker. For those complaining abt the low in-call volume, this maybe the solution (but do remember to read all instructions before flashing!)

Phone feels snappy and fast too, but i would think speed-wise, its comparable to a tweaked stock ROM setup.

I too went thru the same thing. Changed my battery last week, and they too just swapped the battery with a new boxed set (if its new la). Also from PDA Expert.

well...i thought so too...but i realised that this normally happens after i go places with low radio signal. even when i move to a better reception area, the sms does not come in .... until much later when a call comes in or when i call out! Worse is it seems to be random!

can someone tell me how to get the gps function running???
i googled garmin but damn expensive ... some said hafta pair with gpsr???

i tot can load the software in tp n run??? sorry ... first pda so very dumb ...

Hey Guys, i'm reporting in as a new TP owner, and have a few things to ask and share at the same time.

Firstly to share my experience with TP. I got it just 2 days ago... and something terrible happened. I was playing with it for not more then 2 hours, and have realize that there is something wrong with the slot to slide in my stylus. Basically i suspect it is caused by a latch that detects the stylus. It is out of its place, and blocking my stylus from going in. I have to specifically slide the stylus in at a very fixed angle to avoid it. And if i just casually slide the stylus in, it will get blocked, and i have to pull it out and try again. What a pain in the ARSE... i was very frustrated.

However i did manage to get a replacement and everything works fine.

Now my questioon part, i have seen many tweeks available however it requires us to use a registry editor to do changes on the registry value. Can someone recommend me a good registry editor for TP. I have tried a prog call reg editor, but no luck. Thanks!

microSDHC 16gb is already out but still not available yet locally, if i'm not mistaken it's from Sandisk and this 16gb only class 2/4  . i'm currently using Sandisk Ultra microSDHC 8gb class 6...very satisfied with it 

it depends on the software/games itself....but 80% installed in storage card...

PDA Expert should be Sandisk class 2. Just pop up ur back cover and eject ur Micro SD... check brand and theres a circle with nos like 2,4 or 6. My Sandisk i bought from PDA Expert won me a Cruzer 8GB flashdrive from Sandisk yesterday! Got the prize from Sandisk promo booth at Concourse LYP.

here's something for those worried on accidentally answer the phone call when it's in your pocket, bag etc etc and unable to use the Slide to Unlock application....

download THIS tiny and useful application. this will disable the on screen answer key to pick up the call! which means that only the hardware key is permitted answer the phone call....very useful application 

Hrmm there's a general PDA question here.

If I install my stuff in my storage card and in the future I decided to upgrade my storage card to a higher capacity, do I need to reinstall all over my applications?

Or do I just copy/paste back those stuff from \strorage\program files?

i install FInixNOver VGA Battery Icon after install sdkcerts. Nothing happen with the battery icon but remain full bar ( classic one ). please advice...

Ringtone Delay Patch << Who tried this and it actually worked?
Its meant for WM5 but HTC Touch Pro come with WM 6.1, is it compatible? Is there any chance that the very loud ringtone will damage the phone speakers?
Sorry for my noobness but yeaI am quite new to WM phones, this is my 1st WM phone.
