My take on the deficiencies of the Aifontriji is currently on the software side. specifically the iTunes. I've several instances where the backup feature simply gave up on it, and the Aifontriji jumped to the Apple logo and stays there. Why this happened, would most probably tied in with the current state of bugginess of iTunes. Yes, it happened on a Mac, I'm using one. could be contributed to several factors, like me having apps spread across 7 pages, and also having tons of webapps as well.

Other gripes on the Aifontriji are no cut and paste, and the Aifontriji's current weak 3G signal acquisition. Both should be rectifiable via software means. Hardware-wise, I see the Aifontriji as an upgrade, with smooth looks and metal buttons. But with that smooth looks, comes the responsibility of making sure it stays that way, hence the almost OCD-like need to carry a polishing cloth and polishing it to a mirror shine. Maybe it's just me.laugh.gif

Aifontriji, just throwing that word out again to accentuate its mirthful nature. Anyone getting miffed over something as trivial as this, clearly needs to take a chill pill.

Okay.
I did googled about it.

But still , for those aifontriji owners, can you guys list out some of its disadvantages that really tick you off ?

The most dire feature is.......

Undo feature.

Many times I'm typing some very important numbers or letters or some things to rectify that end up with an extra letters added. And then when I want to delete it, I accidentally tap too many times and whoosh the letters go missing.

My very old Palm Zire 21 has a lovely cut and paste (across multiple application k?) and has a fully working Undo feature. Which is why I am still using it (and with apps with data older than Britney...). So Apple...why?

I think one of the main reasons BT been disabled for file transfer is because of piracy issues esp with song transfers.

The only gripe that i have with iPhone is the SMS

1. Foward msg
2. Send business cards
3. The ability to delete single msg only and not the entire conversation

I know there have 3rd party app for this but it would be good if apple implement this themselves.

I though iPhone already got the function to delete entire conversation right?
Click the "edit" button when you're at text messages, then a red icon will show up next to the conversation, just click it and tab the "delete" button on the other side.
Sorry if I am wrong. smile.gif

coz sometimes we need to delete just the sensitive info and not the entire conversation, just in case someone decide to snoop on our test msges.

a friend of mine wants me to deliberately jailbreak her officially unlocked aifontrigi, so that she can delete individual received/made/missed call lists to avoid being detected

For me is where the SMS system is really i hate, can't save any msg i needed (there is a 3rd party software needed to pay 5 euro, but i do wish apple will came up firmware with SMS support like old phone (aka standards phone SMS features) As well as the MMS

Other than that, i don't think i go any much complain with it.

Also, hate it when Iphone don't have maps for navigation, all must DL, eat my $$

Thats becoz the phone was targeted for unlimited data usage.

@nokia2003
I know but for me its more to passwords or bank account or such sensitive stuff.

Added on September 14, 2008, 4:26 pmBtw there's an app for jailbroken phone to store offline map. Its in Cydia if i'm not mistaken.
