@gengstapo,
The original SMS doesn't allow U to forward messages. It also doesn't allow MMS.

The one other thing I don't like about the iPhone 3G is that it's a finger-print magnet!!!

Is there any chance of releasing an application that can manage and transfer files via Bluetooth ? I wonder.

BT cant send and receive file but last time i think there a third party application that can make you transfer song from your iphone using wifi only, but it was firmware 1.14 etc, dont know either have for 2.0 or not.

I think MagicPad copy and paste works only within the apps itself. Can't really copy or paste anything to another app yet..

Just some info on OpenClip which has the copy and paste function framework. Check out the link below.

OpenClip - non-profit, open-source, community-effort project, which promotes a framework for the iPhone that allows users to copy / paste between participating applications.

I think one of the main reasons BT been disabled for file transfer is because of piracy issues esp with song transfers.

Well can you guys type the word as "iPhone" 3G? God that word is sickening me._.

lol, agreed. i might be slow or something, but it took me a minute too long to figure what people are talking about, thus i hated 'aifontriji'. plus it gets annoying after a while, imo anyway.

i guess i might be a simpler user than others as i don't really need a phone that does everything, but does what it can, well. in regards to the iphone, a few simple additions would make it perfect to me...

- copy/paste
- flash content on the web browser
- viewable videos from sources other than youtube (this would be a dream capability as i watch video blogs A LOT)
- sms/notes & other keyboard-heavy tasks available in horizontal mode
- podcast download, preferably through itunes store or as an independent app (again, i listen to podcasts A LOT)
- video capture
- a2dp (being able to listen to songs using wireless bluetooth earphones)

that's all...for now

- copy/paste      * Already in Apple's list but not a priority*
- flash content on the web browser      * They are working on their own version called sproutcore. Still in testing. *
- viewable videos from sources other than youtube (this would be a dream capability as i watch video blogs A LOT)    * They already have an agreement with YouTube so ... errr ... u know the rest*
- sms/notes & other keyboard-heavy tasks available in horizontal mode      * Not sure about that. Again maybe not their top priority *
- podcast download, preferably through itunes store or as an independent app (again, i listen to podcasts A LOT)    * itunes store in the phone is not the final version. They might include it later. Again with the priority *
- video capture        * Cycorder from saurik in Cydia *
- a2dp (being able to listen to songs using wireless bluetooth earphones)      * That can kill the iphone battery within few hours *

that's all...for now

- No SMS forwarding (Hated this fact since the first gen iPhone days... How difficult could this be, Apple?)
- No note syncing (Currently using Evernote, which is pretty neat but would be great if notes in the native Notes application is synced to the comp)

Not interested in Jailbreaking anymore as there's the AppStore, so workarounds by using apps from Cydia/etc are not an option.

Oh yes, I also don't quite agree with the way the iPhone 3G is commonly spelled/referred to in this sub-forum. People made a fuss about the iPod Touch being called the iTouch; so I believe I could make a fuss about the iPhone 3G being spelled the way most people here are spelling it. Improper spelling makes it difficult for people new to the forum to search for topics/posts related to the device.

Mono speaker sounds so lousy and cracking like nuts ever since 1st gen... 3.5mm audio jack not universal (due to its cylinder) but can use adaptor... I love that cold alumunium body, but i love black too...
