I suspected the CS initially, but after I spoke with 2 different CS, both also told me the same thing.  Have to reload in order to get it active.
That is why I post the question here.

I hv the same problem 3 months ago. I am pretty sure they haven't pass ur details up to the HQ yet(maybe they hv lost ur form). Head to celcom branch to re-register ur line again. Their staffs aren't very sure about this plan maybe its still new, it took them 45 just to process my form sigh...

Is Celcom made it hard to get verify on purpose so that most of the people will have to keep reload? I smell a fish named Celcom.

Don't think that they are as efficient as Digi's staffs. It's Celcom smile.gif . If you are not as desperate as me to get the long validity, wait for a month then. For me, I went to celcom branch to re-register my line in the 2nd week cuz I was too free last time.

Since they provide you such a AMAZING DEAL, you need to sacrifice some effort la...
Just compare!! I mean within prepaid.
The calling rate per minute is more than 50% cheaper!! JUST A MERE 15 sen (Maxis 33 sen, DiGi Chat Plus 36sen, U Mobile 48 sen, Happy 60 sen)
SMS? The sms rate is 6 sen / sms, only beatable by DiGi D'Campus, but you get 30 days no matter what amount you topup with DiGi D'Campus. (Maxis 15 sen DiGi D'Campus 6 sen)
What i compare is OFF-NET charges.
*
I personally think that this plan is better than postpaid, just 3 points to make them win,
1. 15sen/min call rate(UOX) VS 10-15sen/min(postpaid)
2. 6sen per sms to anyone!! Can you find this rate in postpaid (exclude those family plans that hv free sms)?
3. Most cheapest line to maintain! Or I could say RM10(it is preloaded with 15sen only) to maintain it for a few years(for me la).

is that a new policy require new u.o.x number to go to center , verified i/c and get extended until 26th birthday ??
i thought it automatically...

Most people's application form were not sent to the HQ, so you might want to reckon that the middlemen had lost you form or they were just plain lazy. Finally desperate people like me will head straight to celcom branch to settle things(usually people waited for 1month, but for me 1 week i can't tahan seeing the validity was not changed yet).

QUOTE(ckming21 @ Jan 1 2009, 04:45 PM)
Lol as i know when 26 year old it will automatic convert to normal plan

I am 19, after 6 years whether celcom has gone bankrupt or not I don't know, I just know that my line is active.

It's mentioned in today's newspaper. I reloaded RM50, and I got RM20 bonus after 10mins, so efficient.

In the sms they sent, they stated that the RM20 bonus credit is valid for 10days only. Is it true?

I find it a bit hard to use up RM20. Is there any catch? It's still better than maxis. Maxis is giving out all those stupid hotlinkgift nonsense.

This HYC cut our usage down 3 fold.

e.g. :
rough calculations

Calls
Normal rate 33cent , HYC 12cent
33/12 = ~3

SMS (to other telcos)
Normal rate 15cent , HYC 5cent
15/5=3

SMS within network
Normal rate 7cent , HYC 1 cent
7/1 = 7 fold = ="

Basically maxis cut down their earning for at least 2-3 fold on some students who are in HYC.

Many of friends have no chance to get the HYC. Maxis did not and does not promote it widely, maybe they doesn't want too many students to get it?

Same, I bought it as a spare line, for emergency use perhaps.

QUOTE(Darkmage12 @ Apr 14 2009, 05:11 PM)

QUOTE(epool86 @ Apr 18 2009, 10:15 AM)
according to the celcom staff, the student plan broadband is available for registration at celcom branches since last week.. no contract, and no modem also (you have to buy your own modem), rm50/month.. when you are 26 years old the rate will be back to rm68 per month..

however, current celcom broadband user who wish to migrate to this plan need to terminate their current account and re-register for a new student broadband plan..
*
Bro epool do u think the streamyx+celcom BB plan by celcom is worth it? Total you need to pay RM108 for both, RM88 + RM20(384kbps 3G BB) .
