In that case, u should provide 2 different food bowl at 2 different location.
Then they can eat at different place lo.
The male won't be able to dominate 2 places at 1 time ma.
That way, they all get to eat.
Gotta make sure ur female eats too.
Else she get skinny n weak.

is their smell bad than ferret smell?
when i got a ferret few months back, i use ambi pur automatic spray.
its help..
but, honestly the smell ddnt border me much cuz i kinda love it..hehe

I dont know if they will send the Gliderslurp to Kuantan or not, but Hun did make Instant ones d.. Just add fruit juice and wah laa.. U get urself gliderslurp.. Try PM HUN aka crazymouse..

ya i bath them, since very long time ago. still they were very healthy...
maybe my fatty biasa di la, she will just hold my hand tide tide, then let the water go thru her body, no wash their head just body only, then dry her lo with dry cloth. she will rub her own face and body at the dry cloth also... hehe... the big daughter will do the same. the father will run here and there and fight with the water. mostly use warm water (thru heater type that we use to bath), but if really hot day then use normal paip water. mmm... very very often bath. maybe few month once like that... is consider 'big cleaning' time lo bath them... the after wipe them with dry cloth, will empty the cage (all things inside undergoes cleaning also), then put them back into cage and they will lick lick also cause some place cannot be wipe or not dry enough, after that when they really totally dry, they will give me sign on 'where is all my things?', they will start to move around the cage non stop... until i put back all their things back into the cage, they will go to the small plastic pot and sleep there. then at night time after they ate their dinner only they will back to their coconut and sleep lo...
(since last last last don't know how many last thread of sg i edi told u guys that i bath them la. and i think i am the only one who bath them in this thread. hehe...)

Ohhh..now i know suggies does scent marking pee as well...no wonders lately pika & miya's cage become more smellier, i thought their normal pee smell become so strong nowadays...

2 days ago my sis and I wash their cage, with lux soap some more to make it wangi ..coz nowadays the smell so strong..when we put them back into the cage, they so stoned and keep smelling every corner of the cage..very funny...but now, the smell came back, tskkkkkk...

ferret smell is 10 times smellier than glider. hehe....

early dis morning when i wake up Milly, she poo like watery type. den jus now, she poo again. better than morning's but still soft type. i fed her wif yogurt & grape last nite. isit normal bout her poo? so worry leh....

Hi faerieC, from what I've read through the previous threads, grapes are a no no.. For yoghurt, what sort are you feeding? I hope you gave low fat. Petshops are different owners. Don't get them mixed up. Taman Melawati petstore I believe it's Pet Epicure.

Is that the nutrition content in Rep-cal and Glider-cal is same?

Rep-cal is make for Reptile use, but b4 we have the proper glider calcium, we use Rep-cal, Glider-Cal is the proper glider clacium supplement it don't contain nutritions only calcium.. so better use a proper glider calcium supplement.

hi guys, i dont own a glider, but have recently noticed this thread and read through v8 and a bit of v7. found them to be very interesting creatures so i followed the thread

just out of curiosity, i want to ask the owners here how do u guys clean up the cage? i mean they pee poo as they like so u guys just wipe the cage? or wash it?

and, i read somewhere that it is better to have 2 gliders instead of one because they need a friend of the same species because human love and companionship alone not enuf, is it true?

Some males are dominant. My Kimba is like that. The only way for you to help your female eat better.... and really, you have to do this or your female will not be able to be healthy and strong.

You gotta get 3 food bowls. Even you only have 2 gliders, dominant males tend to hog the food bowls alot. Put all 3 bowls in different locations of the cage. This helps the female eat better. I do this and it works.

Ferret is stronger smelling than gliders.

Well, it is best not to bath them lah.... you do not use soap rite? Coz if soap, it can strip away the protective oils.

I only bath gliders if they are very dirty or were involved in a sticky accident.

All gliders scent mark, but it is the male that scent marks more. Females just go around with droplets of musky pee....

One way is to give the cage a wipe down with a wet cloth every few days.

It's the yogurt. Coz yogurt can cause watery poo and you fed grape, so it would cause the poo to be softer. Grape is not really advisable to feed. Best you give some of our tropical fruits. My gliders love ciku, rambutan and nangka.

Pet Epicure is at Taman Melawati. I think they would be open. I double check for you. What stuff you wanna get?

Rep-Cal, if you get the Green Label then it is the same with Glider-Cal... Why? Coz both have no added vitamin D3. just pure non-dairy calcium. It doesn't matter which one you got, both brands can be used.

Cage... well, we do weekly or monthly washings, depends on how rajin some of us are hahahah.... but then wiping, I tend to do every few days. Gliders like to pee along the cage bars, so it can stain and stink. Poo is normally dropped into the tray, so we put old newspaper or breeders celect as litter for the poo.

of course it is better to have 2.... coz they are nocturnal. Actually, they can get love from humans IF the human has the same sleeping time and waking time everyday for the next 10 years of the glider's life. Would you do that? Hahaha.... not many would, it is really tiring. Also, they are vocal so they love to talk, the way we talk and the way gliders communicate is different, so it is always better to have 2. Doesn't need to be a male and female pair. Sisters or brothers or single sex pairs are better.

You can just Google to find out. There are many online like Leadbeaters, BML.... Bourbon..... just remember that a glider should not have too much sweets in their diet... and sweets meaning honey. So browse and look, experiment on your glider.
