QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Sep 8 2008, 12:13 PM) LOL.... like comparing Kapi to Kiah..... anyway, now my Kapi and Kiah have become glider ambassadors at Fluff. Hehehe.... they enjoy it there in their glider room. Good to hear that they are enjoying it there. Do they go home with you end of the day or stay there or you stay there with them? Veggie Biitez no free 1 week trial loh.... it is already a very successful flavour. The trial would be my new products, which I will be distributing free trials to anyone who wanna try out. Of course it is all safe since I use human grade quality ingredients, summore organic punya hahahah.... Wait lah. That is cheap. I also want PVC chains.... |

QUOTE(jcmf @ Sep 8 2008, 12:55 PM) just curious, will the glider 'fragentnize' my room? plan to keep 2 in my room.... So far i have no problems with the odour. I hve 2 females. Males tend to smell due to extra scent glands. Partly is because I have an air cleaner in my room. Bedding, make sure you stay away from wood as they contain phenols which harm the suggies. You can use cat litter, namelt Breeder Celect. Newspapers can be used too but need to be changed quite often. All the important things are listed on the first page of this thread. their diet, your commitment, expenses, etc.and how often should i change d bedding? aniting important to learn? secrets on handling sg? sorry to be noob. just want sg keepers opinion rather than jz reading repeated infos on d web. QUOTE(ReBeLLioN @ Sep 10 2008, 11:35 AM) Ok.. He's already sexually matured. That botak patch is another scent gland, which causes the stinkiness. Bully the girl?! hmm.. you may want to keep an eye closely or separate them. Cos unexpected joeys may appear. I think he could be trying to mate with the female. |

Dominance, well maybe Hun can explain that to you. Cos she has a very dominant male which fights with his mates.

QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Sep 10 2008, 06:41 PM) You can just Google to find out. There are many online like Leadbeaters, BML.... Bourbon..... just remember that a glider should not have too much sweets in their diet... and sweets meaning honey. So browse and look, experiment on your glider. Hun, correct me if I'm wrong. I read from glider university that BML diet is a toxic substance for suggies as stated by the Glider University. |

so i have a few more questions..do u guys normally put the gliders' cage in your room? any trouble with the odour and noise if u did put it in your room? I keep mine in my room. Odour for male gliders are stronger, might be unbearable to some people. I've got 2 females and they do not smell. Noise wise, I guess I'm already used to it. They do bark at times, and when they run the Wodent Wheel, it will make some noise. Not loud though. 2nd question, i read that the flexarium is only a short term solution and could not be a permanent cage for the gliders, why? is it coz its still considered small for gliders? i actually tot the flexarium is very big.. Flexariums are made of nylon mesh, some gliders might chew through it. also, is it possible to feed the glider with only fruits and slurps and yogurt and vege, but without the worms and insects? Well it is best to feed woth worms and insects as it is a source of protein for gliders. |

QUOTE(jcmf @ Sep 10 2008, 11:59 PM) aurion Both mine are females. As far as I've been keeping them, they seem to be near zero odour. Partially is that I have an air cleaner/purifier in my room. Only ocassionally got some kind of slight weird smell but it's not to the stage that is unbearable. Males on the other hand as I mentioned earlier, tend to emit a more strong odour from musking. This is also due to the extra scent glands that they have on their head and chest which females do not have. I can't really tell you how bad the males' odours are. I'll let the seniours recommend.since u keep in ur room, does it emit odor? planning to keep a male in my room... wat do u recommend? |

3rd question, if u have more than 1 glider, when u wanna tkae them out in your bonding pouch, can you put two of them in one pouch? or one pouch for one glider only? or u just take one out and leave one at home?
Well I use the standard size bonding pouch and it can fit both mine in it comfortably. Occassionally I'll separate them into two pouches. As Jamien mentioned, you can opt to take one out and leave the other home, but I usually take both out. Jamien: Yup. According to Hun, a tame and older glider can help in the trusting progress. And from what I am going through, yes, Judy does help Meegy to be less timid now. |
