keira...
the cage is not small but it would be better if it has more height rather than width....
refer to the 1st page to see the cages that are more suitable...

really liked what u did for them inside their cage...
*
aww thank u.. ive been planning to go to pet shack i was in pyramid earlier with friends but had to rush back so it kinda slipped off my mind.. maybe when i have enuf cash to buy another cage ill prolly get it.. this was the most i cud get for them.. sasha is very jumpy and hyper and mumble is a lazy fatty.. that aint normal right?? he sleeps most of the times and because he sleeps she wants to sleep too.. i have to constantly take them both out of the coconut shell and let them run around..

@Mijah: Maybe? And it's not too sweet so maybe that's why Frey don't like. Ceres is it? I think I've seen it before. Same packaging size as Marigold wat. But has either sugar or preservatives. The only cranberry juice I saw without sugar and preservatives is Marigold.

@Keira: Cute suggies! The cage looks nice with your deco. But as saramic pointed out, taller is better than wider la. And I think your suggies are brown because of your coconut hideout. sweat.gif Sorry for the edited post.

@Keira: Get a sleeping pouch lar. You can buy from KP or Pet Shack or even Pet Safari has it. Easy to get them out of their hiding spots, easy to clean (just toss into washing machine), and no fur staining that coconut hideouts cause.

smile.gif Then you shouldn't be worried about your suggies as well. Your mumble will teach your Sasha to be nice.

@Mijah: Yes Ceres only has 1 liter packages. But Marigold's small package also out of stock where I was working that day. tongue.gif So had to get the 1 liter one. Now I have to share with Frey to finish it... smile.gif Let me know yar the bran that your mum bought and the price.

we have to limit their intake everyday??cuz normally i just put some fruits inside her bowl n let her eat herself when she's hungry...ytd saw minnie almost finish half slice of apple in 1min... doh.gif

Added on September 26, 2008, 9:28 am
waa...i think my boss will sound me if i bring minnie to work le...
*
What muchan86 means by limiting mealies is limiting mealworms. Not the fruits. A growing joeys needs all the fruit and nutrition it can get. Mealworms are full of fat and phosphorus besides protein, so that is why we must limit the mealworm intake to about 5-8 mealworms a day.

QUOTE(^MochI^ @ Sep 26 2008, 10:29 AM)
Wear a shirt lo.. so they wont climb on ur bare skin. smile.gif

Added on September 26, 2008, 10:33 amhey.. er so gilders can digest pork? Can i give? how much shld i give? can i give everyday ? Is it best to mix with yogurts?

Coz everyday my mixture of fruits and veges + chicken i will add abit of yogurts.

And.. Petshack provided nail trimming service? how much ?
*
Please do not give pork. If it is in the kibble is ok but not the pork meat. People normally give cooked chicken coz it is easier to digest. Also pork meat is not very high in calcium. The one in kibbled, already processed to be suitable.

thx ya.. i oledy know about wat happen to kelvin and i learn from his experience..thats y i straight away bring Keiko(corrected name)back to my gf home.. but this morning keiko eating and sleeping inside the steel bowl that i bought..my gf try to take her n put inside the pouch, but she crabs..keep on wan to sleep inside the bowl n eating summore..why this happen eh?n how to overcome this?
*
It is normal for them to want to sleep in their food bowls. One is to be closer to the food source, then it also feels more secure. What you can do is take out the food bowl once you find your joey sleeping inside. It will automatically find another place to sleep, so have the sleeping pouch near the area of the food bowl.

QUOTE(pink_baby @ Sep 26 2008, 01:48 PM)
wanna ask...is it we just put some food inside our glider's bowl inside their cage n just let them to eat themselves til finish oni replace more??how to control to prevent them to eat too much or bloated??
*
QUOTE(^MochI^ @ Sep 26 2008, 01:55 PM)
pinkbaby-Just put their food in the evening/night time when they are most active.. When next morning u see the food finishes.. u add alittle bit more. Till u see some little left overs, i read it from a website. Duno correct anot, correct me if im wrong.
*
Add a little bit more? Your info is not for fresh food but it is for staple diet, which is very different. Fresh food needs to be changed everyday at each feedings. and no such thing as add a bit more with the left overs. Joeys need 2 feedings a day, in the morning when they are still awake, a light meal and in the evening a bigger meal.

Hey guys..
i got few WC adult with me..
i wan to start bond with them..
any tips??
it bitten my fren..
so painful lol..got marks..
some told me to start like bonding with joey..
but any tips to avoid bitting??lol..
if no..then ill endure the pain...
*
Wild caught, you need patience. Yes, bond like joey and you would need to do tent bonding. You have to gain their trust.

QUOTE(pink_baby @ Sep 26 2008, 07:18 PM)
ytd i fed minnie egg...but i duno how much shud give so i just put bout 1 tablespoon for her each day & night...is there any effect??cuz she seems no poo from then... icon_question.gif
*
Please do not feed egg everyday. It is low in calcium.... did you include a high calcium food in the diet? I did mention limit to a teaspoon, not a tablespoon.... Egg is nutritious but you cannot overfeed.

QUOTE([cipan)

i always handle them with glove..they dont seem to attack my hand..
hope they will react the same way without a glove!!!
ill begin the bonding process tonite!!
wish me luck..
*
Glove? You shouldn't use gloves. It would just make the bonding process longer.

hey everyone.. im Keira im kinda new here also new with gliders.. my friend bought me one from the guy that owns the exhibition in one utama.. his name is Mumble and i think he is fully bonded to me.. comes back to me no matter wut.. and i recently got a new joey to keep Mumble company.. but i have a strong feeling she is underaged and i have no idea wut to feed her to ensure she grows up healthy.. i deperately need a lil word of advice as i got her from the new pet shop in old town.. anyone with any ideas?    sad.gif

You should get hold of a good supplement food like GliderSlurp or smoothie.

QUOTE(Jamien @ Sep 27 2008, 12:09 AM)
Hey guys, a few days ago Frey seemed to be having constipation. She kept licking her butt every few minutes. It really freaked me out.

Then I followed Hun's advise and got her some no-sugar, no-preservative, cranberry and apple juice. After 1st night feeding no more vigorous butt licking dy.

She was a little reluctant to take the juice on its own so I used the instant slurp and mix it with the juice. She accepted it and ate it like slurp. On the second night, I added just a little strawberry yogurt (just a small dip at the tip of the spoon) and mixed with her cranberry apple instant slurp. She was making nice chirping noises while she ate it!

blush.gif Her poop is still a little hard so I'm going to make the mix for her tonight again but she can pass "business" without problems.

thumbup.gif So anyone whose glider has constipation, use cranberry juice! Preferably no sugar and no preservatives ya.
*
Good to know she is improving with the juice.

u cud try the other brand..Perez or Peres..or something like that..
i cant remember..lol hun suggested that brand to me..
but it doesnt come in small packaging,so i prefer Marigold instead..
*
It's Ceres. It has small packaging also, just harder to find. Oh, just to let you know, I'll be going to Fluff this Sunday.

[attachmentid=607895]
thats Mumble, my lazy fat boy..
[attachmentid=607900]
i dont noe why is he looking down maybe its my dog.. oh well.. thats Mumble again.
*
Slightly underage, maybe 6 weeks OOP.... well, it would be best you get a pic of the tail as well.

The cage is alright for now, but they won't enjoy much height. A cage with height is much better since their are tree animals.

every glider is an individual, just like humans...
some likes to eat...
some sleeps more than others...
some are hyper active....
some are calm.....
etc....
as long as they are eating well, u shouldn't worry too much...
get a sleeping pouch so u can get them out easier....
trust me, i had a coconut before & it's hard to get them out when they grow bigger...
plus they tend to turn brown faster...

Ah, this picture is better. She looks 8 weeks OOP, judging by the tail. It could be she is just small size as some joeys grow slower, depending on how they are brought up. She looks ok, as long she keeps eating and is active, you don't need to be too worried.

Found this forum on glider Wheels.... Please read to be safe as I heard some of you guys(and also me) have problems where 2 gliders run in the same wodent wheel or gliders that run alot in the wheel. Apparently people had accidents with their wheels.

http://www.glidercentral.net/ubbthreads/ub...e_Wodent_Wheels

In the end, here is an explanation:
http://www.glidercentral.net/ubbthreads/ub...topics/643881/1

So the bar in the middle of the wheels(like wodent wheel), please put a safety guard like a piece of PVC pipe. It is explained in the 2nd link.
