I think they have a free transfer service, although it's subject to alot of paperwork and a list. I didn't use it when i got here, just popped over to Roma and Greyhounded my way to Toowoomba.

ITS SOOOO FRIGGING HOT! Trust me. And just buy winter clothes in Melbourne.

Actually Melbourne isnt very cold as imagined. During winter, the daytime temperature will be around 10 degree celsius, 1 or 2 degree will only be reached during midnight or early in the morning which usually people are sleeping under their warm quilt. Those very-very-warm jacket which is meant for winter in Canada, Switzerland is not required. A normal jacket with single coating will suffice.

Btw, Melbourne is extremely hot, even hotter than Msia these two days but will be cooler soon.

i just heard from the IDP fella that the COE is the most important thing..other than your visa..and once you get your COE you can start looking for jobs bcos it is held as a proof that you're studying in aussie.

I'm transferring to Monash for 1.5 years as I finished my 1.5 years in Sunway. Prob is, I want to take advantage of the 2-years-studying-in-Aussie points for PR. I heard that gives you a rather significantly large amount of points for PR application.

I wonder how I can extend my stay so that I'll get the points for the PR? Maybe I should just enrol in a short course after finishing my degree, to show i've been studying there for 2 years?

Any bright ideas?

Lol chill. Ah it never occured to me to even print my COE. I have like... 4 COEs so I couldnt be bothered. Doesnt really matter really since most of us have e-visa, so you just need to apply for a TFN and ur ready to work! - since you applied after that April date. From what I know, employers would only ask for your passport number and TFN.
And yes KVR, free sauna. Thats the bright side.
