I'm telling you AGAIN, my laptop doesn't have DVI or HDMI. cry.gif My laptop is not same as yours ,very lauyah one. tongue.gif Only Dell inspiron 1520.Lucky you got an iBook. My laptop just just VGA out and S video Out.
I know the s-video not so good but what i can i do. I'm searching for the VGA cable at the moment, so i'm using the s-video cable.
Still no hope for DVI to Hdmi. Huhuhu
*
an alternative is to check out the docking station
many docking stations have DVI out
so if the price is right, it can be a good solution

In Penang Queens Bay Mall, PV80 is going for RM4299 only whreas PV8 is RM3999. Not sure KL follow suit only, haven't check yet.

it's actually going for lower than that at most shops if you bargain

I got a LA37R81B for 3.3k last June and quite happy with it. Its an AM01 panel and has excellent black level. Astro not so good on it but great with HD media streaming and gaming on ps3.

You might want to research the 37" S8 series first or at least view the tv first before purchasing. I did both.

I think RM2.5k for a 37" lcd is a bit too cheap even for an older model.

the toshiba 37AV3500E is going for around 2700 range
any comments on this unit?
the price is very tempting

y not go for 37lx80 which is much better than 37av500?
*
the reason is the pricing
i'm just looking for a basic unit
if going for the 37lx80, i might just go all the way for the PV8

I saw in LG website the selling 26 LCD TV. If possible i need to take the 26" because of my room is not big enough for 32". About budget, i have a budget that can buy a 32" which is RM2000, but for 26" I don't think the price is more than RM1500. Am i correct? hmm.gif
*
i doubt that the price of the 26" would be much cheaper than the 32"
market demand and volume has an impact on the pricing too

No. LG Showrom 3rd floor near Machines (Apple). I don't know the specific promotion but they told me there will be a promotion here. They dont wanna tell me what kinda promotion. They told me to leave my contact no. They will call me tommorow regarding the promotions.

if possible, can you check what's the offer for the LG 42PG60 plasma?
the best i can find so far is 3699 which is running the PV80H very close
only drawback is the 2-year factory warranty vs 5 year factory warranty from the panny, but the LG's design wins hands down
are we seeing a price war between them? PG60 against PV80H and PG10/20 against PV8?

nope, the 3699 is gotten in penang
HN is already listing it at 4499 and if you enquire more, they would happily drop it down to 4299

KL price is already below that 3699 since 2 mths ago. Will be even lower if you decide to cash-n-carry. Don't worry, even Wira A/B can carry the entire box with its rear seats down. Ngam ngam fit.
Regards.

hi, so did you bought the PG60?

Can anyone point me a 42" full hd tv for samsung or lg? I prefer scarlet.
Onking is selling 4990 for 47LG60FR. My budget is only around 4000 maybe a lil bit more.
*
you can consider the 42LG53 model
it's definitely below 4k and it's full HD

the PG60 can accept 1080p sources, but would downscale it to the lower resolution
for 42" Full HD< the most cost effective path now is with LCD
plasmas are still expensive for full HD

the image would come out complete, but at lower resolution
the bigger PG60 is stated as 1920x1080 in certain literature but the 42" is definitely 1024x768
