I don't get it. How do we identify whether a link is sponsored link or not?

Will it hurt the page rank if we get listed at portal such as infopages or superpages?

QUOTE(guiltnotproven @ Oct 25 2013, 10:57 PM) dear experts, I gave up on seeking for the answer.any one know more about the new Hummingbird Google's SEO Algo ? how they do the rank checking etc ? My site used to rank quite well, until this September where I losses close to 98% of the traffic. Only few days back I notice the traffic recovering again, even though not as good as before. During these period, I didn't made any changes to the website at all. |

QUOTE(gyver @ Dec 20 2013, 11:24 AM) I have read in one of the top seo analyst blogs who attended the google conference for the new algo, the serp now is set to be variable. Your site will not always be in the 1st SERP but will move wihtin days or weeks up and down based on your sites points. But I didn't make any changes to my site at all, I just go up & down.So for me, content is king. Static pages would have a hard time maintaining the same PR status or whatever. And worth to mention about another site of mine (Not a site but a forum post) That forum post used to rank very well until I put a link on that post to my site. Shortly after that, it drop to page 2 /3. After awhile, I remove those links & that post rank back to the first page again. |
