hm...guys, how to play a real full screen video at iphone 3g ar?

i try to upload some videos to my iphone3g, when i play the video using my iphone, the up and down part of the video is black
when i double tap the screen, it will zoom in and play in full screen, but then it is zooming in, meaning the right and the left side of the video is missing and i cant see it

any idea how to play it in real full screen, where the side part wont be missing? or use what application to play it other then ipod?

PS: hope you guys understand what i mean

the problem is in your file you downloaded

the compression resolution is set to lower, or letterbox just to minimize file size.

next time before you click download just check what is the compression they use.

if you want full screen then the resolution should be 480 x 320.

Or

if you have a software like Xilisoft Ultimate (TOR) then you do it yourself

just clicks away the simple interface.

Maybe tell us the settings of your video conversion and see where it goes wrong.

hm...ok, i download the original video from the net, which is in .mov format
then i use itunes to convert it to a format where the iphone can play

PS: the orignial movie also got black part in the top and down if i play in my PC, but since i using windows media classic to play it, i can pan and scan to make it become real full screen

so i was asking is there any function like this for iphone?
coz last time i use HTC TYTN2, when i double tap, it will automatically become real full screen

IMHO, i would suggest trying Quicktime Pro as it has an option to convert .mov to iphone format. Give it a try.

Also, i have updated some video converter software on iphone application thread. See if any of the apps can help.

i use videora to decode it before, coz i see some other forum say that its the best.

but still the same.....

hm.....actually like i say, the original format , the video top and down part also got black part, so if i decode it to 480*320, wouldn't it be the same since it just shrink it to smaller part?
might be wrong on this... >.<

PS: quicktime pro need to pay sad.gif

when a movie is encoded to suit d exact resolution for each particular device e.g iphone at 320x480, it is played in full screen already and you call it full screen mode with wide screen feature movie/clip... When you double tap screen to make those black area disable, yes, as you said, it zooms and made the side part missing...

However, what are u suppose to lookfor is an encoder that can STRETCH a clip/movie and made Jack Black looks tall and penelope cruz become super stick.

I cant imagine how you enjoy ur movie.... however, to know if any encoder/converter exist out there is a good thing...

P/S: Anyone have a problem with wide screen clip/movie?
