I saw someone recommended Grand Serela at Jln. Riau, I was wondering how you guys did the booking ?

I am not comfortable dealing on the phone giving the credit card details. However I did my booking through Agoda and it cost me USD180 for two nights.

Place to shop: jalan Riau, Jalan Dago, Jalan Cihempelas and etc
'Bestest' outlet: Rumah Mode at Jln. Setiabudi

I was planning to walk back from Grande(Jln. Dago) back to my hotel at Jln. Riau, from the GPS it shows 2.1km and 30minute of walking time.In the end, I took a cab which cost only 10,000IDR(Rm 3.5) to save all the trouble and sweat.

I am staying at Grand Serela Hotel, booked the room online through Agoda. Very comfortable and convenient to me. Free internet access in the room through wired or wireless (so far no turtle speed).

I travelled alone when I was at Bandung. Since my target is only attacking the FOs, ground transport is not much a problem with so much taxi around. However I only trust two taxi company, GR and SilverBird. From my hotel Grand Serela to other FO such as Rumah Mode only cost Rp20000+-

If you share the cost out, it will be very cheap to travel in a group.

I've been planning to go to Bandung this May. I want to ask about Duti Fee or whatever it is called. My friends told me that we must pay a certain amount of fee before we depart from Bandung airport. He told me it is not Custom Tax. That Duti fee is a must even we don't buy anything at Bandung. Is it true? How much is it then?

and how much is the cost for transport from airport to Hotel Amaris (near Jl Cihampelas & Hotel Sukajadi)?..

anyone can suggest me best local brand (distro)?..planning to buy a few jeans that cannot be found in Malaysia..hehe..

ohoh..another one..which one is better? convert RM to Rupiah in Malaysia or in Bandung?..

thx!

I was there at Bandung at last month, even I packed my luggage to full I did not come across paying any duty fee at the airport. I only paid Rp75,000(IIRC) as airport tax after checking-in my luggage. When paying taxi drivers, do not expect them to give you back the exact change, most of the time it is rounded up to the nearest thousand.

I think no problem exchange your money into Rupiah in Malaysia because it is well traded here.
