Hi all,

Need your advise here...

I will be staying in The Majesty Hotel in Bandung, according to their website, it is like very close to the airport, and 12 minutes to the down? Is that true? My main purpose of travelling to Bandung is only shopping, no sight seeing, do you think it is worth to hire driver? or just take taxi?

Thanks...
*
Hello, my name is denny, and i wish i ca help you about information about bandung. cause i live in bandung for 18 years. smile.gif
your hotel is not close with shoping area.
many tourist like shoping in Factory Outlet, (rumah mode, heriage, the secret, etc), cihampelas street, dago, cibaduyut if you like buy shoes.
you must get taxi or hire a driver to take you to shoping area.
if you choose taxi, you must get the good taxi. they use argometer, so you do not be fooled by the price.
and if you choose hire a driver, just call and relax you will be comfortable shopping when carrying a lot of stuff. but off course much expensive than taxi
you can hire a driver, for 12 hour around rp300.000 (100 ringgit) all in
its all up to you
hope this information usefull 4 u

Hi everyone.. planning to go to Bandung in July. Just wondering, does anyone know what typically is the ATM usage fee is in Bandung area, if we were to withdraw money there via MEPS?

Hopefully the exchange rate is about the same or better than Malaysia...
*
heloo...
i think, you can withdraw money at ATM machines with an existing card logo visa or master. but offcourse there a fee from the bank. ( i dont know how much)
i never heard MEPS in bandung, so i suggest You 've brought the money from malaysia. but if less , you may redeem the ringgit at the money changer in Bandung . there are so many money changer here, dont worry.. just be happy enjoy Bandung biggrin.gif

Can anyone recommend me with a good driver with resonable price? I've got a quote from a company costing 475,000 rupiah per day (not including driver meal), I think that is a little bit too high than the market price?

Besides, is the price at the FOs are all fixed?

thank you.
*
to hire a driver and car in bandung, the price around 300.000 - 500.000 rupiah, depend the type of car (small and large is difference price), how long you hire (12 hour, 24 hour), with driver or without driver, and all in or without driver meal and gasoline.

and the price in the FO, is the fixed price. no bargain.
but, sometimes you can get the discount from credit card when they make a promotion.

Denny, is it applicable for Malaysia credit card?? I have been using my cc there but so far no special promo for Malaysia cc. However, I noticed, normally their sales begin in Dec until end of January. Not sure about other month though. I can' remember anymore  tongue.gif

well , the promotion of credit cards only occasionally, and usually only from a local bank .but just bring your credit cards , who knows useful in bandung

all of them in dago atas and lembang
if you looking in city, a lot of cafe, like giggle box, humming bird, atmosfere, tomodachi and so many more
but... if you looking the special taste, unique food, only in bandung... i recomended : nasi kalong, nasi ceu mar, perkedel bondon, bubur ayam PR, cibadak street, nasi goreng bistik astana anyar, and so many more. thumbup.gif

Maybe on the 3rd or 4th day will take one day trip to Jakarta find my fren. Whats the most comfortable and cheap method to get into Jakarta?
*
If you wat to go to jakarta from bandung, you can use the train or "CAR TREVEL" this is the most easy to go there.
X trans, Cipaganti trevel, Day trans, Baraya trevel, Citytrans and so many more. they are departs every hour.
but they just take us from station to station. so when you arrived i jakarta, you need a taxi to take you to your destination
only 65000 - 75000 rupiah
