We flew in to Jakarta via KLM 16:20pm flight. It's a 2-hour flight so it's already dark when we arrived in Jakarta.
The next day we took Argo Parahyangan train to Bandung from Gambir station. You can buy the tickets via tiket.com as the official kereta-api.co.id does not accept non-Indonesian credit cards.
The journey took around ~3 hours & there will be cabin crew selling you food & drinks on board. Once arrived at the Bandung station, you'll be approached by some taxi guys, somewhat similar to Langkawi or Pangkor
Among the place visited:
- Tangkuban Perahu, an obligatory for the first-time visitor to Bandung. On the way down, visited Floating Market in Lembang where you can try Bandung's unique cuisine.
- Kawah Putih. A 2-hour journey from Bandung city. Along the road you can see strawberry orchards & small paddy fields. Compared to Tangkuban Perahu, there's no touts selling you overpriced souvenirs here. On the way back, we had lunch at a nice restaurant called Saung Gawir.
- Factory outlets. I think you need more than one day to cover all of them.
Thanks to @gins1983 for being such a nice host! I'd join fellow forumers here to recommend him.
