Few questions about Bandung. It'll be a 4 pax trip for 4 days 3 nights.

1) Is RM 1000 okay for me to spend there? Probably Rm 500 for shopping, another for hotel, transport and meals?

2) Cheapest hotel/hostel? I found one, Alley Backpacker Hostel and it is really cheap. But I think I'm going to get Orange Home Syariah because it got wifi and airport transfer. Recommended?

3) Transportation? We'll be arrived at BDO airport on 12AM 26th. So I might as well take one day full to rent a car (to go to Tangkuban Perahu) and one day for cab (to visit shopping places around Bandung).

So, that's our plan. I don't know about luggage too, since this is my first time traveling outside Malaysia. Any tips would be appreciated.

1. 1000 rm for how many person ?
2. if you suitable with that hostel, get it. for wifi you can get a cheap simcard here. airport transfer can use taxi.
3. rent car is recommended if you want to visit tangkuban perahu.

RM 1000 for a person.
Well, I'd prefer wifi over buying new simcard though.

Thanks for the information. But do you have any info about accommodation, like places I should avoid or anything perhaps?

It depends on your shopping habits, renting a car for one day will cost u IDR350K to IDR500K already and the food price is similar to KL standard. Generally for RM1000/pax should be enough if you spend wisely. Anyhow ruppiah currency has dropped quite a lot recently and ATM is everywhere in Bandung. (if using CIMB withdrawal charge is free if you withdraw from CIMB Niaga)

Oh, I can use CIMB ATM there? Neat. Should I bring Rm1000 (converted) cash or just pull it out there? Thank you.

dont walk in dark street. just to be cautious. the hostel you mention quite far from shopping / eating place. also, wastukencana is one way street. if using car/motor/angkot, you may need to walk first.

But from their website here, it says places to visit are all close by? Maybe the distance doesn't really matter because we're visiting places by car tongue.gif

Regarding the internet sim card you mentioned earlier, how do I get one and get access to the internet there?
