i dun think you can unmod a modded console. plus you've been to XBL already. MS has kept a record of your hardware configuration in the server. so once you (if you can) downgraded your DVD ROM firmware and connect to XBL, the system will check automatically and ban the console as the records is not the same from what they have.

best solution, buy another 360.

thats wrong. u CAN flash back the original firmware, provided u have a backup copy of the orig.bin, or u get it from net somewhere since it is illegal to distribute the firmware.

even if what u said is true that ms did record your hardware conf or whatever shit, when u flash back the original firmware, there is no way to detect the change (as per the time im typing this msg) yet.

asian region i think.
original console as the new 60gb can't be mod... yet.

it can be done already. extract the key and use the key on a spoof drive.
just that it doesnt worth the money yet.

regardless, buying original is good.

They are able to detect. Once there is some change in the key vault system, then they notice there is a change.
i wonder y flashing back original firmware with the very same key will result a change in key vault (whatever it is)?

depends. if you flash it with custom firmware and go online, then flash it back to ori and go online, you will get caught since they've recorded the key for the "flashed" one, not the ori one.
U might want to read about whats happening in the scene before making false allegation.
The 32character long KEY they injected into a custom firmware before they flash it to the drive is the very SAME KEY they extracted from the original firmware.
So either u keep the orig.bin or write it down, or reextract from the custom firmware, it will all be the same
inject into a original firmware, reflash, BAM -- i cant see y ms can detect it, as for the time of writing.

Its undeniable that no one really knows how ms detect modded firmware. Still, as for now they are not banning lot of flashed machine playing online.

Again, buying original is good. smile.gif

Like your last statement.

indeed it is. just dont like how those "original supporters" squeezing thier wits on how to scare those ppl who r ignorant about whats happening in the scene.
I only tell facts.

And buying original is good, is, undoubtedly, a fact too.

Well to throw in some more light here, one possible way for ms to detect a modded machine is to access the LOG of the console.

Many of the modding method requires one to switch on thier console without the drive data cable being plugged into the mobo in order to power the drive up. Therefore the machine might log down the error of not having a drive plugged in. this can then be a possible way for ms to ban all machine which having a log of no drive error in the entire log file, tho it seems rather arbitrary.

Even later u unmod your console there is no way u can delete this log. and thus u might get banned if ms ops for such a harsh banning method.

(to circumvent it, plug the drive to another xbox mobo to power it up)
