for me, i think, if i want to buy the expensive one for breeding, i will make sure i know how to breed them well first. n then, how to take care of their fry until they grow big. it is quite a challenge for me, now. unless u know what u are doin, then, proceed. great amount of money involve. fuhh.. n like what acam said, the female also play big role. must get high class one. double expensive!

true. good quality one start from rm15 and above. but many shops selling rm 15 for not a good quality betta. so, perhaps it is rm 25 and above. i also feel the same. rm 3 to rm 10 really dissapointing. hehehe.. pity that fish. well, sometimes, when i am lucky, i can buy quite a fine betta for just rm 10. i dont know what are their probs. but they are actually fine specimen. maybe a bit old, i dont know.

Added on February 20, 2011, 10:26 pmhohohho. if u think back, it is expensive, because u can buy a betta for just rm 1. but sure it is poor quality. leopard gecko is not the same. all of the geckos are expensive.

keeping a betta is very easy lol. no need water pump or oxygen. what u need is a container. small will do. but bigger is better. ketapang leave always is a good addition into the water. if u plan to breed it, u need to read this thread from the very beginning. many2 info one how to successfully rear betta fry. u can try these links to find the betta u like.

i think other members will help to suggest other breeders. wait n c.
