temperature-wise, room temp will do fine

basically they are not picky about what pellets u feed them with, any pellets that fit into their mouth will do.. but of course the better quality ones do not come cheap smile.gif

the most important thing u should know is to perform water changes frequently sweat.gif

One of my betta doesn't like pellet boh?! I'll put the pellet into it's mouth then spit it out again.. until the pellet fall down to the bottom... At first i feed them a lot's like around 20 pellet per meal.. then just know that will kill it.. blush.gif

Oh, i can't find any good betta at my place here.. wonder if i can buy it from you guys here and send it to me huh? Wonder will it survive? sweat.gif I live in sibu, sarawak. By the way, how to choose a good one huh? hmm.gif

If so, i suppose it has been feeding on live food.. Juz feed it with pellet and it will eventually start eating pellets.. Remember to remove the uneater food smile.gif

u can ask yewlin or spirit of demon nod.gif or u can juz go over to betta4u.com and choose your betta tongue.gif

The chances for mortality is there and they will be stressed over the long and rough journey.. But a healthy one should reach your doorstep hopefully still swimming smile.gif

Okie thanks.. notworthy.gif Actually, every time i give him a pellet he'll take a bite and spit it out.. repeating for few times until the entire pellet crash into pieces and drop to bottom.. rclxub.gif shocking.gif

By the way, how often do you change your betta's water? Let say it's a 1 feet X 0.5 feet tank with around 5 inches water level. Every time change water, will add in little bit of salt with 100% water replaced. Or the salt is not compulsory? The water i use is old water, at least 1~2 days old. If not i'll use filtered water lol.. Is all these correct way, pls advise..

Just passing by here and saw this. I had a similar betta before, it didn't want to eat dry food and pellet. I try feeding it frozen blood worm, and it eat like starve for 1 week. Frozen blood worm can be found at most of the aquarium shop in KL.
Betta not so choosy about water quality, it got labyrinth and can breath from the air. And the way you change water is correct, salt is not needed.

Thanks. Yesterday went to the same shop and found out most of the halfmoon are gone.. that shop is doing wholesale one so is lucky for me to be able to buy one, yet it's really depress due to newly arrive and bad water treatment. Just hope will get better after few days.

it is not a big problem to send a fish to sarawak(fishes hav been sending from malaysia to thailand, and den to US, so compare to the journey, sarawak is not far)... by airpak service is juz nice... they handle the fish well... b4 u sent the fish.. u nid to condition them well.. then, starve them for a day b4 sending... n "double pack it" to avoid licking.... then put them in the cooler box.. and sent it by courier service lo..

Erm guys I just bought a betta 2 days ago. Not really nice tail but bought it for its dark purple color. But for the tank, anything small (e.g. 1.5L mineral water bottle type of size) with some soft hiding will do right? Donno anything cos haven't touch one since primary school till now.
