if you go for breeding purposes, yes. it worth it. Nice color and dorsal. But must have a good female line.

for me, i think, if i want to buy the expensive one for breeding, i will make sure i know how to breed them well first. n then, how to take care of their fry until they grow big. it is quite a challenge for me, now. unless u know what u are doin, then, proceed. great amount of money involve. fuhh.. n like what acam said, the female also play big role. must get high class one. double expensive!

i'll only spend <rm50 for a betta... just for the fun of getting an average nice 1....
those rm3-10, really dissapoint me... they look like dieing and the tail itself really make me upset. feel heartache looking at their condition itself.

true. good quality one start from rm15 and above. but many shops selling rm 15 for not a good quality betta. so, perhaps it is rm 25 and above. i also feel the same. rm 3 to rm 10 really dissapointing. hehehe.. pity that fish. well, sometimes, when i am lucky, i can buy quite a fine betta for just rm 10. i dont know what are their probs. but they are actually fine specimen. maybe a bit old, i dont know.

Added on February 20, 2011, 10:26 pmhohohho. if u think back, it is expensive, because u can buy a betta for just rm 1. but sure it is poor quality. leopard gecko is not the same. all of the geckos are expensive.

if the betta just arrive at Jalan Pasar there, the fish still look healthy and the fish still active. still flaring at each other. Previously i have few betta mostly HMPK, all i get from Betta Malaysia forumers. Nice to meet the members and learn few tip fr them. Then i bough few CT fr jalan pasar. I try to breed them but everytime fail. sad.gif Then i give up raring as most of my expensive HMPK died due overdose feeding. My wife feed them a lot during i'm away for travelling. sighs.... but i'm planning to get few CT and a good blood line of HMPK for breeding purpose. Hope next month i can start back my Betta activity.

why people choose HMPK over HM?
other than the fact that it easier to take care?
is it really hard to maintain HM?
