Everytime i connects my Aifontriji to iTunes, iTunes will do phone backup while syncing. How do i change the setting so that backup is only made manually upon my request... thanks in advance

its not about sync setting. i ve unchecked auto sync. my iTunes will only sync manually but the problem here is iTunes will do phone data backup with every sync action. just imagine how long it takes if u hv ur 16gb full of data (i hv to wait at least 15-20mins) everytime. any idea?

Where is it from? US, hk?
What is your firmware? 2.0, 2.01 or 2.02?

If it is a US unit, perhaps ur only option is click "x" to cancel backup while syncing.
If it is a official unlocked set, update ur fw will solve this problem

there's a small application created to disable itunes backup feature. if you use mac, read here :

if you're a windows user, visit this : http://www.microseconds.com/backupswitch.html

The free ones are not tied to your account because, they are freely distributed. you can freely download them, although the popup will mention about purchase, but your credit is not deducted. It shouldnt take long to download these free apps, since they are not large in size.

If you want your apps to travel with you, carry the iTunes folder with you. I carry mine in a separate portable hard drive synced/mirrored item-by-item using ChronoSync, and use it with my MBA. Just log into your account, and make sure your other Mac/PC's iTunes are pointing towards the iTunes library on your portable hard drive.

Why do you need to access your account from two different computers?
