dual arctic cooling F12 PWM did not hlp on my cm hyper 212 plus, i compare it with single cm blade master, almost same temp, i not sure is it only me?

I dont think two fan push pull is have much difference in temp . I'm using a hyper212+ as well but with two xtraflo . I gt my Q6600 3.1ghz full load at 52C using Tuniq thermal paste .

PMW fan can run at lower speeds with voltage control according to the temp of your proc la . Means when you idle , the fan will automatically slow down = less noise .

Hey guys, just have my venomous x sitting inside the rig this recently. Was bit curios as the heatsink doesnt heat up much unlike my previous hyper 212+. But the temperature is fine but still abit unsatisfied with it as just lower by around 8c comparing with hyper 212+ at full load. I wonder am I applied the thermal paste with wrong method ? But I tried a pea method and a flat layer both doesnt have much different in temperature. Or it is a normal for such cpu cooler ?

did you add any fans to it? cool.gif

rclxub.gif rclxub.gif For sure yes. Its with 2x cooler master xtraflow in pushpull configuration. Even I lower the fan rpm at minimum speed, I still dont feel much heat on the fins

I'm not sure what the old quads temps are like but you're only running at 1.16v, a cooler like venomous wont break a sweat with that kind of voltage. What kind of temps are you getting ? At best, your temp would probably get to as near as your ambient temp.

Forgot to add that you can try to re-adjust the pressure knob. You may get better temp by either tightening it slightly or loosening it. But be careful not to over tightening it as they are reports that it can cause your cpu to sink in. The max pressure is 70lbs which is way over the intel's safe spec.

Load temp max 59C with linX while max 50C with prime95. Temperature is not my main concern but just curious why the heatsink just doesnt heat up
About the pressure knob , I had no idea with how much force is max as dno how much is 70lbs. But I did tighten the knob until tight enough with little force

Yea I know the temperature its good but just curious when the fins doesnt heat up during load. So I guess you're right and I got my answer. Thanks bro

I would like to say that V6GT is not quiet at load laugh.gif
