Anyone can recommend a good HSF for Phenom 9950 ?
Im looking at the thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme-AM2-BP... but it doesnt come with a fan, should i get 1 myself and mod it to the HSF ? |

Im trying to get the Thermalright TRUE Copper... is there any better cooler than this model ? how much izzit anyway cos i still havent found the distributor...

Yup... heard abt the 2kg enormous weight... so now i lay my cpu flat, lucky i got space on desk... hmm then i would have to stick with alu 120...

I think TRUE also not bad...
last time my original hsf idle 50 load 65... now only idle 35 load 50... very big differrent... if idle, can turn off fan and still get 35... Forgot to mention non aircond This post has been edited by James_yka: Mar 22 2009, 12:14 AM |

My rig usually runs at 35 when idle...
Just after my comp crash, then i reinstall the windows... i checked that the idle went to 40... all temp spiked up by 5... Initially i tot its the thermal paste dried up, eventho its just been 4 months... So i reapply the thermal paste, still same, so i tot might be the prob when i reapply... so i reapply again but the prob still the same... tried out a lot of other temp reader... still having the same reading... What might the prob here ? |
