Vista has a new audio architecture which is an improvement over the old one (individual volume adjustment for individual programs for example)....

older games may have audio issues, but Creative has a program to 'upgrade' them to Vista level. Its called Alchemy...
However it only comes free if u own one of their X-Fi sound cards, else u gotta buy the software separately...

i just like to point out that this incompatibility is due to an IMPROVEMENT and not a reason it sucks...

it's awesome, and yup i had BSOD before but that was coz of bad driver, now ironed out nicely already..
