The comments I have written are all my own opinions. They are based only on my own testing and they are not meant to be offensive or to start any type of argument. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and we all have different opinions. The important thing to remember is that nobody is right and nobody is wrong.

All I wanted to do was find out which AV uses the least amount of resources... not which one is better.

Remember, every PC is different. Just because I got these results doesn't mean they will be the same for you. It depends on a lot of factors including all the other things you have loaded other than your AV.

Hey, you did a great job!

I am using NOD32 and never regret to use it since the uninstallation of Avast 2 years ago.

Look u guys, there's nothing in a AV if it cant protect your PC REAL TIME demmit...
Norton maybe hog our system memory but it's REAL TIME protection is the best, not even AVG or McAfee come close. This me tested myself by using a memory card and a card reader. Norton instantly detect that there's a virus on the virus infected memory card once me plug it into the card reader, but not AVG, McAfee, Kaspersky or NOD32! TESTED BY MYSELF!
Why u guys still dun understand the real strengh that an AV must have?
No matter how it can save on your RAM, if it cant protect u REAL TIME, then it is useless~!!! >_<
*
Norton only good to detect those kpc things plugged in but not to those files accessed from internet or browsing. When you can scan you PC, you baru tahu ur pc was infected.

Just for information.

Someone sent me an application and I clicked it and was alerted with

win32/keylogger.ardamax application by NOD32.

The applications were terminated and quarantined.

Anyone wanna try to run the application and test whether their AV is efficient enough? >> Just joking....

However, I am in doubts that whether should I format my PC to eliminate the risk involved? But abit time consuming to do formatting and recovery.

Anyone mind to guilde me how to make sure my PC is free from the keyloggers?

Thanks.

Hello there,

I'm using Nod32, and recently it takes ages to load Nod32 at startup.

I mean its a whopping 2 mintues and 22 seconds!!

Any Nod32 users experienced the same thing? What can i do to speed it up.

My pc specs
AMD2800+ s754
ABIT nf8
1gbRam
80gb HDD
9600XT

Yes, sometimes I have the problem. During windows start up, NOD32 is loading and showing the NOD32 logo and can't load into windows right?

I remembered I had that problem but at that time, I was preparing to format my PC... So didn't bother to look into the matter.. so format directly.

i used nav corp also..and i have a story:

A network printer at my place keeps printing out rubbish, i cannot identify which user is sending the printjobs that fills the print q with rubbish, causing other ppl cannot print..i formatted the printer's hdd few times alredi..now it runs on nt4.0..last time i got this prob, i formatted d printer hdd and full scan all pc b4 plugging the printer back to the network..after a while it got infected again..

then i opted to full scan all the pcs with avg free edition, and guess what..almost all of the pcs got trojans in them that sends those rubbish printout to the network printer..now im considering avg pro..

but i have not decided yet..currently searching online resources about av reviews..most of the site i found a more to sales review..im looking for an av review site that is not selling any av, unbiased and if posibble contains technical information about the avs..so it can help me make my decision..

and also the reviews are not consistent..this site says this av is good, that site says that av is good..im confused rclxub.gif

can anyone recommend any good review site for av?

Another ineffective Norton AV. rclxub.gif
