As for NOD32, i got a question to ask here:

Sometime when it pops up a window saying there's a Virus founded in my PC, there's only one option that's available and that's "delete", the rest like "clean", "quaratine"... can't be selected, so there's no choice but to delete the file?
*
yeah, that sometimes shows that nod32 is lack in cleaning engine. Delete is not always the way to solve problems and i believe every antivirus is capable of deleting infected files, but not all can disinfect the file.

Still, if you install nod32 from the begining, it should able to PREVENT the virus getting on your system the first place.

is kaspersky antivirus alone is enough to keep my lappie against virus, spyware and other infections?

or do i need a combination of softwares such as suggested in page 1??as below

(i found that AVG + ZoneAlarm Pro + Ad-Aware = full protection for me..)
                                        and
(Panda+ McAfee Personal Firewall + Webroot Spysweeper)
*
nope, kaspersky antivirus alone is not enough.

Combination of softwares is suggested

Zone Alarm Pro with Spyware doctor/Webroot spysweeper should be ok

for those antispyware software, u can hv many of them, but jst make sure only 1 of thier real time is on at a time, to reduce conflict.

example:
Spywre doctor with real time scan/protection enable +
Webroot spysweeper with real time scan/protection disable +
Ad-aware Free Edition (no real time scan) +
Spybot search and Destroy (No tea timer enable)

these 4 have good manual scan engines.

Definitely no for Webroot Spy Sweeper! Why? It will catch you with your first update checking: something like your serial has expired...

I have known for a fact that spy sweeper is not easy to be cracked! It is a good antispyware after all.

Anyway I am using CounterSpy from Sunbelt Software. It is the best in the market right now. Also the price is very reasonable, $19.95 for one year subscription; compared to other competitor's products, usually between $29 to $40. CounterSpy also received PC World World Class Award in the July 2005 issue! I would say go for it if you are looking for an outstanding antispyware program.

actually, counterspy was from Giant Antispyware(which was bought over by Microsoft). Counterspy, Giant Antispyware and MS antispyware are using the same engine, one of the best engine in the world.

But, i doubt it when MS bought it over. Once its under MS, the Anti MS software virues/spyware writers will eventually find holes in the engine itself.
