hi guys, i recently bought my 3g iphone (8gb). then i realise that only 1 out of the 2 speaker below the iphone is working. i went back to the shop and tried to warranty it and the man told me that it was normal. according to him, all iphones (1st generation and 3g models) have the same problem. only 1 speaker is working at all time. he said it was posted in the internet as well. is it true?

yes below the iphone, there are 2 holes, one for speaker(left) one for mic(right)..

If there's sound coming out from both right and left then your iPhone has a problem.

u never bother to read the manual ka? I know there's no manual in the box but there's one at apple website (as pointed out by our ever friendly pal david). Maybe its your habit to buy something and try to operate it without a manual to refer to. Please search first before posting such a basic question that a simple google would take less then 0.0005 sec to find.

No offense but this is what happen when you just go with the flow on current technology innovation without actually learning the product. Everyone goes, "I want this, I got to own this!" but in mind they have no idea how to use it and what the device is capable of.

I know its my fault for not getting the manual and all but please try to understand my situation. I am currently in Syria now working and I got my iphone here. and problem is this place have got no braodband connection. i can only access the internet from my office (ISDN 128kbps and shared with 12 other colleagues). tried to download the manual the after i got my phone but the file is 14mb and it took me almost forever to finish it. don't blame you all for the comment but its not what u guys think

i also never read.. i didnt realise also.. but now i know.. the features of the iphone amazed me so much that i didnt even bother to read the manual.. i skipped the manual and played with it straight away..

most of the time my phone is on silent, so i never really got to know this..

To me, the manual is just another eye-candy instruction guide. Already understand the whole thing so...

Haha, same here. I didn`t even bother opening the manual envelope after i got my iphone, IMO, its more intresting to try and discover new things on your own, without help, i am having fun with my phone now, everyday i download some new apps and games that makes my iphone more intresting, however i did some googling about iphones review before i got my phone so that i can know what to expect on getting it

anyway, surf youtube and watch their vids concerning iphone , it has alot of vids that teach u tips and tricks and of course goodies for your iphone, its from there i got to know great apps such as iAno, drummer and psx4iphone

i've done my study on iphone before i bought it also. took me 2 years to consider and wait to see if there are any other phones that can offer me better services. trying to download some software to install in my iphone now but still yet to finish download any...

its remind me to my n0obness lastime when i ask bout this not working speaker
