It will charge at the point of downloading latest info on nearest station. Subsequently no more update till not sure when, those AGPS (Globallocate) in HP PDA required 3 days update once..not sure Nokia. If u subscribe for 3G unlimited...not so worry.

BTW, GPS software like Garmin no need any phone connection-lah...Totally free...Actually I prefer to switch off AGPS rather than on it. Only Nokia maps not downloaded using map uploader u will be charge realtime..

Hehe. I hv been paying wth GPS since 2006..starting wth HP6515 wtgh AGPS, ASUS P535, Nokia6120+ ext BT Holux GPSr & now N78. So I'm pretty sure-loh biggrin.gif ...The best about Nokia & not available in HP AGPS is the option to switch off the AGPS function & u still can acquire GPS what..In HP6515, the AGPS will be activated for about 1-2min & after data downloaded, the system will swicth-off the downloading process untill the 3rd day or as and when u feel to download the data.

BTW, u need to understand what AGPS first..it is just a small package data transmitted to ur phone to denote your current location and thus assist the fast acquisiton of GPS signal..not downloading the whole maps!! Downloading the whole maps only applicable to Nokia maps & not Garmin MXT.. biggrin.gif

Are you sure Garmin XT with aGPS on will not charge for any data? I'm been worrying for few days lioa coz i use agps with garmin for a 1 hour trip. Now i already switch off the agps but have to wait longer for the satelite to lock.
