i agree to ban all the sexy girl and boy with that fraud auto tune vocal which misled our audience to think that they're talented from performing here because it is wasting of money and time to see lip sync performance.

I'm not a big fan of Ronnie James Dio because when he was famous at 70's and 80's i'm not even born yet. But what i hear from his song when he was a Rainbow vocalist, i thought nobody could sing high pitch like that especially on song Stargazer. I'm ashamed of today people prefer auto tune imitation and impostor pop rock/R&B/rap singer and screamo who stray far from metal vocal.

you and your folks should teach these younguns how to behave in metal gig. For me, their behavior and appearance look like poser.

According to Metal Hammer, last night's (Thursday, June 3) SLAYER concert at the Forum in London, England was shut down for 25 minutes while a fan was taken out of the venue in a stretcher.
Despite a strong police presence outside the show, it reportedly took the ambulance service nearly half an hour to get to the venue an take the fan to a hospital. SLAYER was forced to put its show on hold while the injured fan was left unconscious on the Forum floor waiting for the emergency services to arrive. Anthony Jenkins, who attended last night's concert, tells BLABBERMOUTH.NET, "The show initially ground to a halt during the fourth song, 'Disciple', when the band realized that there was a fan who was seriously hurt in the pit to the extent that they couldn't be moved. There was a 20-minute delay while the ambulance crew arrived, loaded said fan on to a stretcher and wheeled him out. Tom [Araya, SLAYER bassist/vocalist] then thanked to the crowd for being so patient and laid back before launching back into the show and treating everyone to a world-first, the whole of 'Seasons In The Abyss' back to back." this is why i don't like moshpit or any equivalent. i have one question her,e how are the moshers gonna watch the band perform while they're busy at the moshpit? |

QUOTE(hanzyms @ Jul 24 2010, 07:39 PM) I don't know if this is melodic or not but Opeth are pretty melodic and their vocalist is clean. Another one is Rainbow (Ronnie James Dio as vocalist). It sound really really nice. |

QUOTE(silbii @ Aug 21 2010, 06:03 AM) one scale? which scale is that?? no wonder from the Big Four, i never liked Slayer...mainly coz of their guitar solos...to me there's no melody to their solos.... Their fans dubbed the solos as "chaos".coz u can easily tell a pentatonic, blues or chromatic scale from most of Metallicas and Megadeth's solo...and some mixture of that in Anthrax... but for Slayer...i really can't tell...sad but true! The only song i like from Slayer is South of Heaven. The other songs just did not do it for me... the Big Four rules though! |

I bet Mike Portnoy used only 1/3 of his usual drum kits and 20% of his talent and skill when he recorded drum part in Avenged Sevenfold - Nightmare album. He stated in an interview :-
"Well, I had to show a lot of respect and restrain but that's OK; I was OK with that. To me this was a very fragile situation and a sensitive situation for the bandmembers who had never played with another drummer and were just fresh in the mourning period. So I had to be very, very respectful of the sensitive nature of this session and I wanted to respect The Rev and pay tribute to him. So, yeah, I wouldn't say it was hard; I had to kind of shift gears from what I normally do. Normally I go in there and do things myself in my own way and I self-produce my drums but in this case I had to kind of just wear a different hat. And because of the circumstances it made it kind of easy to swallow." His basically point that he was holding back when he recorded his part due to respect to the band. But i like to collect CD and album. It is my hobby as long as i can afford the price. Beside that, i want premium audio quality not some compressed mp3 or FLAC from unknown source. I know those guys are super rich but i'll not support the art of dismantling industry record. As Rob Zombie stated, today lots of demand from people for music but only tiny of them willing to spend on them. I don't want digital download from iTunes replace the physical medium because iTunes is Steve Job money grabbing machine. Some artist stated they only received puny amount of profit when their music is sold via iTunes. Some of them also encourage people to buy straight from artist and didn't recommend people to buy their music through iTunes or any music service provider. Remember artist only gain maximum about $1 per CD that sold. If 10000 album sold, which is very unlikely in this era the band get roughly about $10000, but they must pay the record company, producer, songwriter and divide them per band member. So each member only got like $1000. I don't think they can make lots of $$$ by only selling CD.

But the fidelity of cassette is lower than CD. The sample rate also is lower.
