Hello, i recently just overclocked my gigabyte ds3 mobo together with a core 2 duo e6400. Just wanna ask some quick questions.

These are the settings i used for the overclock.

CPU Clock Ratio : 8x
CPU Host Frequency : 400
PCI Express Frequency : 100mhz
System Memory Multiplier at 2.00
DRAM Timing at 5-5-5-12

DDR2 Overvoltage Control +0.2V (2.0V) ----------> What does this do?
FSB OverVoltage at Normal -------------------------> I set this at the normal value
MCH Voltage 0.1V at Normal ------------------------> I set this at the normal value

CPU Voltage at 1.22500V ----------------------------> The normal value is suppose to be 1.25, but i reduced the voltage to 1.225.. can anot?

Are the settings ok to use?

overvoltage = pump voltage.

ex :

DDR2 Overvoltage Control +0.2V

if ur ram at stock V for eg, 1.8v, ddr2 overvoltage control will bump ur voltage to 2.0v, 1.8(stock) + 0.2 = 2.0V

the rest i think the same

correct if im wrong. got a lot of sifu here. mahaguru got oso. they edy bertapa at amazon.

1) That increases ur ddr2 ram voltage over stock which is 1.8v, regardless of rams u use
FSB over voltage, is VTT
MCH voltage is North bridge, 1.25v is default for p35, so u added it to 1.35v

sure, whats stopping you from undervolting it? laugh.gif

ask the correct questions and you get the answers u want la biggrin.gif

As an aside here, some RAM modules require more Vdimm to attain their rated speeds - e.g 1066 Dominators and Tracers.

If you are running those modules I suggest you up the voltage accordingly..
