Hi, I have some questions regarding UPU application and public university policy.

FIRST, HOW LONG IS STPM VALID?
I sat my STPM on 2004. I only applied through UPU after 3 years from the date of release of my STPM result (I'm 23 yrs old now), and still managed to secure a place at one of the public university this year(luckily maybe smile.gif ) . I wonder how long is the validity of STPM. As some of the examinations have their own validity, e.g. TOEFL score is only valid for 2 years, if students wish to apply for admission after two years, they'll have to re-take TOEFL test before they can apply.

SECOND, UPU STILL APPROVE APPLICATIONS OF STUDENTS WHO'VE ACCEPTED THE OFFER BUT WITHDRAWN FROM IPTA AFTER 2 MONTHS OF STUDY?
I'm asking this question because I decided to change to other course. It has been 2 months since I've been studying at this public university. I'm thinking to withdraw from university now and re-apply different course next year but i afraid there will be some issues since my record still in their database.

THIRD, AFTER I WITHDRAW FROM THE PUBLIC UNIVERSITY THIS YEAR(e.g. UM), DO I STILL ELIGIBLE TO GET ADMITTED INTO THE PARTICULAR UNIVERSITY I'VE WITHDRAWN FROM(e.g. UM)?
I will put this particular university which I will withdraw from into one of my eight choices next year. But I'm afraid there will be some issues of this.

LAST, DO I NEED TO PAY THE WHOLE SEMESTER FEES WHEN I QUIT FROM UNIVERSITY? hmm.gif

Thank You! smile.gif

i. STPM is valid forever. well, atleast till u die. however, most fulltime undergraduate courses in universities have maximum age limit, which is about 27-28 years old. if u're above that, u will enroll under mature-student programme.

ii. i'm not sure. however i believe it's the university that will blacklist u, not UPU. meaning if u withdraw from university A for no valid reason, u can still apply for university B. do check.

iii. refer to my previous answer. it all depends on the reason of withdrawal.

iv. yes. obviously.

Thanks for your useful info, boss azarimy.

I'm very disappointed at this moment because my parents disagree my decision of withdraw from university, and I actually quite worry on my eligibility if I re-apply next year.

The better way now is apply changing of course within my current university on next semester, as some of the student did it successfully.

So, what I want to ask now is how is the architecture in University Malaya? Because I always feel that UTM is better in their architecture course, compare to other IPTAs. Just my opinion only.
