I just fitted Sony CDX-GT270S to replace my viva, everything works fine except when shut off the car and pull out the car key, there are three distinct beeps.

I tried a few time it is always the same whether I turn off the HU or not before I pull out the key.

Didnt notice this before I drive the car back after it is fitted in the shop.

Is this normal behaviour? Or are there any setting in the HU the can be changed?

issit the faceplate of ur HU can be removed? if YES these beeps are telling that u have yet to remove the faceplate

anyway it can be turned off

i think its normal because i hv used Sony b4 and its the same. 3 beeps after u off ur car.
if i remember correctly, the manual should state that its a security feature or something like that
my sony player was back in 1998 then

ooppss.. it is indeed the faceplate removal alarm.

although I did find a way to disable the alarm in the manual.
