QUOTE(zenwarlord @ Dec 8 2008, 06:56 PM)
yes. that's easier to damage. In fact every waja that hit in front has very high tendency to crack that wiper water tank. I got mine changed.
*
huh! another badly planned design doh.gif but my sister like it, anyway! instead of helping a friend, i decided to buy it for her rather than
going for an 2 door satria.
noob Q here...

which tires represent the best value for money on waja 4g18 stock wheels?

thanks again guys!

tyre is very critical so i dun hopes you to consider cheap tyre. Cheap tire usually has very bad grip and that's very dangerous when raining.  How about Yokohama C-drive? Falken 912 around RM190.
*
rm190 per piece? blink.gif sooo cheap drool.gif
thanks a lot, zenwarlord. you saved my day icon_rolleyes.gif

new waja user here icon_rolleyes.gif but from my experience, waja has the biggest rear legroom compare to persona and gen2.
and the campro cps engine( as in gen2 cps) is more responsive compared to the persona's campro iafm.
gen2 and persona win in term of sporty looks though.

go test drive all 'of em and hopefully it will help you in deciding.

if test drive all....sure waja wins hehehe...i like the gated gear and flipping side mirror.

yeah! i start to like this waja as well. more spacious than my modded gsrt wira se.
i will prolly' buy a cheap satria for my sister instead and 'develop' this stock auto waja into something nice icon_rolleyes.gif
about the tyre; the previous owner happily throw in' 2pc of new conti tyre, so, i saved on 'em.
now looking for the R3 spoiler. anyone?

on the lighter side; a friend of mine laugh at me yesterday when i 'automatically' activate the wiper
while trying to turn to the left doh.gif
still haven't get used the left hand side signal tool sweat.gif

7 years already .... For a proton that age .. i think i have to bear with it bah ..  sad.gif

Added on December 23, 2008, 7:12 pmI think a new gearbox would cost a few thousand right ?
*
gosh! i just inherit a 4 years old waja auto with 48k mileage from an old man sweat.gif
i assumed yours is auto tranny then... hmm.gif the trouble with auto tranny is; unlike the manual version,
if the problem occured, you may have to replace the whole unit which will cost quite a lot. the new auto tranny from proton will easily cost over 5k while the recond unit outside cost under 3.8k.

btw, does your car alread cover 200k km mileage? hmm.gif
to prolonged the auto tranny lifespan, consider installing an ATF cooler. i work wonders even on those prone to heat perdana auto tranny.

QUOTE(karim_effendy @ Dec 23 2008, 10:44 PM)
i want to ask about sport spring. how much it cost and does it really uncomfortable to drive?
*
depending on the setting. but most sports suspension are made so that the car can handle sharp corner at highest possible speed. so, there is a sacrifice in term of ride comfort. coupled with low profile tyres.....here you go horse riding in our bumpy road laugh.gif

manual got such izzue?

manual of course less problem lor.... if the gear doesn't engage, just ask the mechanic to open up the gearbox, change the faulty gear tongue.gif + labour cost still way too cheap compare to auto tranny.
my other wira se gsrt manual doesn't have any issue up to now. except that she is complaining i ditched her for a more comfy ride in a stock waja tongue.gif

then u should take her GSR and she take ur Waja.
*
well...i mean my old gsrt maybe complaining i don't drive her as much since i acquire the waja. tongue.gif
but i've had something in mind whistling.gif swapping the engine brows.gif
and go for tiptronic tranny on waja; hence the reason i choose a 2nd hand auto version.
i've seen a mivec mated to tiptronic but not on gsrt yet..... seem like another complete ecu reprogramming, welding,
suspension, brakes and bars works sweat.gif

my existing wira se is already modded with 4g93t inside. hence the wira gsrt. was planning to swap the existing 4g18 on the waja to my wira and vice versa. perhaps the 4 pot brembo on the front as well. and some coffee...lolz.

how about the tiptronic tranny alone? any chances of 'em selling it separately?

thanks.

*
thanks.... icon_rolleyes.gif my mechanic just told me about that too sweat.gif
any different / mods in mounting will be hard to pass the jpj / puspakom inspection sweat.gif

btw, any of you guys ever try to mod the signal tool from left to the right hand side? i always end up mixing 'em
when i swap a car sweat.gif

like i said, the wira chasis platform and waja chassis platform are different and the swapping are impossible. Your wira timing belt is at passenger side while waja is at driver side.

If you wanna transplant, then u need to get 2nd generation GSR engine. The tiptronic gb are more easy to source compare to MT, the tiptronic performance is nightmare but it's quite fun to use tiptronic. FYI, the 4G92 tiptronic is same with 4G93 & 4G93T.

u can try to get the CK4 model, i think it can be use. Only need some wiring job.
*
thanks for the info, zenwarlord. icon_rolleyes.gif might as well leave both of 'em to where they are then... just some k&n air filter and denso iridium spark plugs will do. gonna upgrade to something better like a used wrx impreza once i've got enough moolah.

anyone tried the CK4 before, or any shop recommended?

thanks!
