new owner of Waja 1.8X using Renault engine.Dad gave it to me because too many problems.And when it comes to me.It really does have a lot of problems. |

Before the car was mine:
1.Gearbox problem 2.Fan hit the radiator and broken to thousand pieces 3.Engine halted when idling, failure is due to magnetic sensor. 4.ABS indicator is on occasionally. 5.Car vibrates a lot while going downhill, until you cannot even talk at normal conversation volume to someone next to you. Problem due to engine mounting failure. 6.ECU was placed at a position closed to heat, it burnt and died, had to replace ECU. Proton later shifted the ECU to somewhere cooler. After the car was mine: 1.Battery will go 'kong' after havnt drover a few days(that is today!left it at workshop because go hizzing sound from the engine.) 2.When OD(overdrive) on will cause the car to super jerk. 3.dunno whats next. 4.Forgot one more,the gear nob.It can twist 180 degrees after the screw fell off. Yup..Those 1.8 renault powered engine got lots of problem...But depend..Few owners gor good car while some don'tEven there's some1 downgrade to 4g18p coz x tahan |

Sounds to me like ur ECU is giving all the problem. Renault 1.8 is known to have alot of problem with the ECU. You can try to get a standalone if you have the budget. going into OD mode with super jerk might caused by ur incorrect fuel mapping, but i doubt so if u're still using stock ECU. last time before i change back to 4G18, my gsr also will jerk when i go into shiftronic,es pecially when i change gear.. when i check with my mech, he say becos my ecu is not tune properly, somehow after he retune my stock GSR ecu it all went away.. haha.. dunno whether it applies to ur renault bo..

Add sound dampening to my 2 front doors at automotive genesis, the mid bass of my component improved and all rattling sound gone.. Very happy.
