QUOTE(DNutz @ Dec 2 2008, 02:21 PM) Yeah, I checked with them also before getting my DV410. I don't think A&L was selling DV610 for RM480. Which sales assistant did you talked to? I didn't ask him his name when i heard that they never sold it at RM480 immediately got no desire to ask more oredi This post has been edited by robinlim: Dec 2 2008, 02:37 PM

QUOTE(cmw_kwl_6923 @ Dec 4 2008, 10:21 AM) Brother, first of all ,ur lcd 40" full HD? if just HD ready keep on using the existing dvd player, if the lcd 40" with full HD better upgrade th dvd player, cause pioneer dv610 availible to upscaling to 1080P. Component cable just support until 576p or more and less, but sure can't support 1080P. yes, my lcd 40" is full HD i understand that component cable can support up tp 576p only the upscaling job is done by the tv but i noticed that the PQ is acceptable to me far better than the asstro PQ i haven't tried out any of the HDMI player yet dunno whether the difference is significant or not

QUOTE(mikapoh @ Jan 16 2009, 09:35 AM) In my hometown, there are 3 types. First is thick paperbox D9 copied from Original DVD. Second is one cover paper D9 ripped from BD, and third is with blue plastic casing. The 2nd and last are the same quality, only one with plastic casing. For PQ, I do agreed that some of these BD ripped D9 yield clearer picture compare to original dvd which cost much expensive! Therefore, most of my collection are these D9. Someone can comment further why is it better PQ than original, maybe like overfloe said, bitrates superiority? As for SQ, have you guys noticed, the DTS Surround format in ahem D9 do not always generate better sound, although most of the time it is. For example, recently I bought Hell Boy II, normally I will choose DTS format, but during the movie, I switched to Dolby 5.1 and immediately, the sound becomes louder with clearer surround. I have experienced in some other movies of my collection. So, everytime when I watch a D9, I will make it a habit to do comparison between the 2 surround formats first before finishing the entire movie and later finds that I am not getting the best sound format out of the disc. Some of the movies do not come with ori DTS sound those Jack Sparrows only doing reencoding to create DTS tracks from the ori source that's why sometimes u find that the DTS is worse than DD
