QUOTE(reef_d @ Dec 4 2008, 12:30 AM) i am currently using the LG DV298H DVD player which supports HDMI 1080i upscaling and USB input.. it can play divx movies + .srt subtitle files.. the only major flaw i see in this player is it takes ages to load an avi movie file.. Both the LG 298 and the newer 3** can't play avi movies from thumbdrive. I have tried it and it just can't recognise any avi files.i'm thinking of getting the philips DVP5996K.. is there any users of this philips player which could share your experience of the player? how is the loading time? how bout subtitle support? max thumbdrive size it could support? any other players u guys could recommed for a below RM400 price tag? thanks for any info. Current LG ![]() Philips ![]() I have the Philips 5996. It can play avi file from thumbdrive and also my WD Passport. However, it seem not able to detect file greater than 1GB. |
